Used to come here once every two months or so, but I just had to make a review about the horrible service experience I had with the last visit to this place. Short-staffed and unfriendly staff atmosphere. No refills for water or no replacement for napkins, I had to share a napkin with my family because the server did not provide proper service. An old female manager came to check us out when we were still finishing our meal and seemed very frustrated and almost angry for tipping the amount for what they deserved from the bad serving. She made us feel uncomfortable as she was watched us select the amount for tipping and made unprofessional statements such as why did you tip us like this, into our faces. Never walked out of a restaurant feeling unsatisfied and disrespected like this before. I recommend trying out a different KBBQ than this place.

I want to preface this by saying I don’t blame the waitress for the experience detailed here, I specifically blame the management. Me and my group of friends have been to this specific restaurant multiple times since it opened, the most recent time being a few months ago. Apparently, as confirmed by the employees of this restaurant, they had a policy change at the start of this year. How it used to work, was anyone at the table when you ordered a plate of meat (not the all you can eat, just the plates) got access to the cold bar, and then if you got two plates two of your party got access to the hot bar. This is the standard for KBBQ. Now, apparently you don’t get access to either of those things, only a small amount of sides (not even two of each side of you got two plates (which is the minimum you can order), one bowl of each side). You have to pay $20 extra if you want what used to be included with your plate. My party went up to get sides as we normally do while waiting for the meat to get up as we always have, not having this policy explained to us (only listed in the same place the old policy was on the menu), and when we come back the manager is waiting for us asking why we went to get food. We try to explain, but she insists we now have to pay $20 for each person who got any of the sides. We are mostly confused, and say if there’s that kind of policy change, they should inform customers, but she just keeps insisting we have to pay. It feels like they’re scamming their return customers who haven’t been back since the new year. Eventually the waitress was able to talk the manager into making only 3/4 of us pay the extra $20, which given this is on top of the meat plates (approx. $70 total for the table) is still wildly overpriced. This place used to be consistently busy. Now both the service and customers have dropped down a lot and it’s not a wonder why given this change to how it works. At the end of the meal, the manager kept insisting “we won’t let you do this again” as if we were being given a huge favor. If they had used this pricing system from the start we never would have come to this restaurant in the first place, and we will not be going again now that it’s in place. I don’t recommend anyone else does either. What used to be a good deal is now, frustrating, overpriced, and severely lacking in quality for how much you have to pay in the end.

This was a terrible experience. Our waiter was great but the manager was horrible. They changed their policy recently and started charging for the bar. This is ridiculous, as the amount of money paid for the amount of meat delivered is not nearly fair. We didn’t know about this new policy, and when we took food from the bar got yelled at by the manager and then she repeatedly talked down to us even though the new policy was ineffectively communicated. Not worth the price, there are better places to take your money.

We went to Woomadang for a birthday dinner and were slightly disappointed. We had a group of 7 people with us. We all ordered the unlimited buffet option and due to the amount of people we had and differing palates, we wanted to try every meat option. We ordered that and were only given about half of them. The service was incredibly slow and it's like our server neglected us halfway through. We kept having to call over people to help us order more food and get more water and they treated us like we were an inconvenience to them. Most Korean BBQ places will change the cooking plate every 20-30 minutes and ours were not changed out once. Food was absolutely caked on the bottom by the end of it. I do not envy whoever had to clean it (it was probably easier to just toss it because it was so dirty). The food itself was pretty good. The beef bulgogi and short ribs were our table's favorites. Overall, the service was so disappointing and despite the food being fairly tasty, I likely won't ever come back.

Great Korean BBQ. The meat quality is good and many side dishes that you can have. The service is pretty good and nice. My family really happy to have dinner in here.

I've been here several times and upon my last visit a few days ago, I've realized that the quality of food has gone down, while the prices have greatly increased. I remember eating here when Woomadang was very new one year ago. Their unlimited cold and hot bar was a good deal at the time, for just an additional $8 add on. I used to pay extra for the hot bar just to eat as much fried chicken as i wanted. Now, the fried chicken is noticably much smaller than before and tastes cheaper. The bulgogi and teokbokki here are also not that good. Now, to get anything from the hot/cold bar (including side dishes like kimchi, radish, etc), you need to pay an add-on of $20 (as of January 2024). To make it extra clear, if you want ANY side dishes, be prepared to pay out $20 extra to get access to it. Most korean restaurants offer side dishes for free. The extra $20 you shell out is not worth what you get, honestly. Plus you'll most likely already be full from the entree or a la carte that you have to order. I think it's fine to raise prices, but I think that reducing quality of food and cutting corners simultaneously is not the way to go about things. In regards to service, our waitress was very kind and polite, though.
