We were walking around Redmond after checking into our hotel. We were looking to have a cocktail and a light snack. We saw the exterior of Zio Sal and ventured into a very cozy and welcoming venue. We took seats at the bar so we could watch the Mariner Game on the flat screen. We were welcomed/ greeted by Aaron and perused the wine list and menu. Great food, good vibes, prompt service, lovely outdoor seating, a nice wine list, good cocktails, and it's owned by an actual Italian. Frankly, I'm surprised it's not busier right now. Get your next latte here instead of Starbucks - better value for your money, and you won't wait as long.

I stopped for a solo dinner on a weekday and it was wonderful. My server was very attentive, my second choice of wine was better (Pinot Gris over Cabernet Sauvignon) and both my choices of pasta (pesto and carbonara) were great
