We stopped in for brunch during our recent trip to Roslyn to check out all of the Northern Exposure sites.
We had a large group of about 10 with us, and depending who you ask, you might get a different review for The Red Bird Cafe.
The decor was cool. Very trendy, inclusive, and fun.
The service was where we all differed in opinion. Personally, I felt like the service was fine, complete with small town charm. My friends felt, though, that the server was rude and clearly didn’t want to be there that day. I can’t say for sure who is correct, so that is something you will have to gauge in your own. Maybe my friends were just jealous that they weren’t given a splash of rum in their hot chocolate, so who knows?
I loved the care that was put into the artistic designs in our hot chocolate! Absolutely beautiful, and the foam tasted like velvet! Loved it!
The food was great also! Everyone loved their items from the Breakfast Quesadilla that I had to biscuits and gravy! So good!
The place is a bit small, which kinda hurt the atmosphere a bit, but all and all, if you are looking for some yummy food and artistic drinks this is your place!

Another fantastic local find. Check the specials on the board. Today’s soup included a spinach, coconut & thyme that was so delicate and very balanced flavors. Several vegetarian and gluten free options. Lots of fresh baked goods.

What a great spot to stop for breakfast! Had a delicious breakfast and they had a lot gluten free/dairy free options which was great. Gluten Free sourdough with home made jam was delicious! The girl that helped us was so sweet! Very much recommend! Their homemade cookies were also super yummy!

Decor was a little too homey ( my country Grammas kitchen), but was totally comfy! Service was on point! Indulged me with brief personal conversation, obliged my out of the norm request regarding "my" coffee. Outstanding customer service even if she was "weeds adjacent" not totally weeded, but close.
Sausage gravy, sausage patty & sour dough toast were the tastiest thing I've eaten this trip.
Food seemed a little slow coming out, but sooo worth the wait. Tomorrow I hope to catch some quiche.

lovely lunch stop before continuing eastward. the patio was perfect for al fresco dining during our visit. we were informed almost immediately they were out of a few things and they were understaffed. so the wait we had for our food was a given. it's the norm now it seems when dining out.
the menu was filled with intriguing all day breakfast options and filled out with many hand held sandwich style items. options of chips, fresh fruit, or fruit cup come with. we chose one from breakfast and one from lunch. my choice of a Monte Cristo-which I realized i had not enjoyed in years-was absolutely delicious. i came to the realization that these are basically French Toast made into a savory sandwich. this one was made perfectly with ham, turkey, and two cheeses. came with a delicious (homemade?) Marionberry jam. Loved it.
the other choice today was a Dill Tuna sandwich. listed as being on a croissant but served on regular bread due to shortages. the tuna salad was made in such a way as to not be overly wet. held together just right. the dill, celery, and red onion added zest to the flavor profile. it was thoroughly devoured and enjoyed. excellent. if you are in the area this is a wonderful spot and if you are able to take the time, totally worth enjoying.

30 minutes for a mediocre meal. Biscuit was cold, served with cold butter, tasted like box mix. Came with a literal thimbal of jam. Jarred salsa.
Dude had a crappy attitude, which I could understand given the children running amok in the place. I actually met the worst child in my entire life at the Red Bird Cafe.
Two stars because it was edible.

Tried to visit after a backpacking adventure. Unfortunately staffing was short and the WiFi was out and we were not able to enjoy a meal there. The location is so cute though and the menu looked delicious.
