Some friends and I visited Gard Public House for the weekend and loved absolutely everything we ordered. Special highlights were the outstanding winetasting flights, mac & cheese and barbecue pork belly.
Had brunch on Sunday. My husband had breakfast plate and pork belly on the side, as for myself I had the fish and chips. We loved the food and service was awesome.
My husband and I wanted to try a new place and the Gard has become our new favorite. The food was fresh, full of flavors, homemade, and just over all amazing. The staff are friendly, the chef came out to talk to use and see how we were doing, an overall wonderful experience. 10/10 for us.

The Gard, a public house located in Central/Eastern Washington, offers an upscale dining experience with delicious food and excellent service. Known for its flavorful dishes, the lamb kabobs, rockfish and chips, and BBQ pork pizza have been praised as exceptional. The new head chef maintains the restaurant's high standards, and even the hummus and Greek salad are considered outstanding. The establishment features a friendly environment, an impressive wine selection, and reasonable prices. Visitors often enjoy dishes like pizza and steak with chimichurri sauce, and the Thai Salad has received positive remarks for its flavor. The food is often described as excellent, with flavorful French fries and garlic fries being popular choices. Many guests praise the food as truly amazing, especially the pork belly appetizer, which has been called probably the best thing eaten all year. The flatbread is highly recommended, and the peanut salad is noted as very yummy. The staff is friendly and attentive, making it a great spot for both casual and special occasion dining. Although service can occasionally be a little slow, the overall experience and quality of food make it worth the visit. Some visitors mention that it’s a good stop on the way to nearby towns and even consider it worth traveling for the culinary delights. The atmosphere is inviting, with outdoor seating that allows dogs to join, and many feel the restaurant offers some of the best food in Washington state, often sourcing ingredients locally. The place is a fun discovery, perfect after activities like hiking, with delicious food and a good beer selection.
