This weekend I visited Ice Cream Social hoping to relive a bit of my high school years by ordering my all-time favorite flavor—snickerdoodle. Back when i was living in tacoma, it was THE flavor I’d ALWAYS reach for; and now, even as I work at a different ice cream shop in Seattle, it’s still the one that brings back so many happy memories. I’d been looking forward to it all week, so I was genuinely crushed to learn it’s no longer available because of concerns over uncooked cinnamon.
I *absolutely* understand that safety is a top priority, but it felt truly heartbreaking to lose this beloved flavor over a risk I rarely see addressed elsewhere. At my old shop, we use cinnamon in multiple recipes with no issues, so I know it’s possible to handle it safely. Ice Cream Social’s snickerdoodle wasn’t just a flavor—it was a connection to the past, to simpler times.
Leaving reviews isn’t usually my thing, but this one matters to me. Sometimes a scoop of the right flavor really does feel like coming home. After a long day, I just wanted that comfort, and I would love nothing more than to see snickerdoodle back on the menu. Please, for ALL of us who miss it, consider bringing it back—it’s part of what made your shop feel so special. Thank you for listening to a nostalgic fan.

Such a great location, really kind and well trained staff. The owner is absolutely the best and we are so lucky to have such a great ice cream shop nearby. When my toddler dropped his ice cream the staff member replaced it without me asking. We really love this ice cream shop! A big thank you to Julia for supporting Norpoint Soccer Club for 2 years! Thank you for helping us purchase new equipment and uniforms, we are so grateful for your continued support of all our teams.

Walk in first at the exit to validate your parking then get in line ! If there are two of you one jump in line while the other grabs parking, have your plate number and no need to walk back to car. Worth the wait in line, it moves fast. Concert venue right there as well, check the website. Had we known would have brought our gear to hang and see Pepper last week

Honey almond ice cream was some of the best ice cream I have ever had! The ice cream is delicious and soft! Highly recommend.

I love the concept! Homemade, ALL NATURAL, local, ingredients. Absolutely delicious and the price is right! It's definitely worth standing in line around the corner for!

Very nice shop and good service despite long waiting queue. On first step there is a taste area on the right and after that you select. They are making waffles in front of your eyes.
Parking: A lot of parking nearby by mostly paid @ about 4$ per hour
Kid-friendliness: A lot of options for kids. They also offer kids scope
I literally never leave reviews but to start this place is the most overrated Ice cream on planet earth. And that’s not even what I’m upset about. The customer service is pretty Garbage. Not one of the employees looks like they want to be there, they kind of look like they barely have a pulse. And last my girlfriend got a small cup of chocolate ice cream with peanuts and after she was handed that ice cream the peanuts fell off she asked for a couple more peanuts…. They told her “NO”…… Noooo….? Yall can’t spare a couple extra peanuts on the ice cream we paid for ? we were just baffled. Maybe we are trippen but I think an extra couple peanuts isn’t a crazy ask. Jesus bless this place. I pray the employees learn to love there job!
