Best neighborhood bar and restaurant! The staff… Riley, Lauren, Nichole, Emily, And of course… Bill in the kitchen… they all make you feel right at home with great service and great food! A must if you’re in the north end of Tacoma stop by for some good eats and great food and service!

Bartender made me feel weird about ordering a Long Island when it was my 2nd drink of the night, then made a weird comment about how every bartender in WA has the right to cut off customers when they show signs of intoxication since I tried to make a joke about how I’m not driving since it was a weird reaction to my order in the first place. Then he stopped to talk to another employee and comes back and suggests another cocktail and I just went along with it begrudgingly.
Then it’s 12am and he tells us it’s last call. So we order drinks and sit down. They crank up the lights and cut the music. At 12:17 the bartender says verbatim: “if you guys could wrap it up, appreciate it thanks”
This place closes at 1am according to google btw.

Seems like a straight edge bartender doing it for the money and assuming all his customers are hammered and not just people who drink as friends to have a good time.
Tall dude in a flannel with the patchy hairline hanging on by a thread was our bartender

Bar itself seems really great, live music, darts, and pool are all set up nicely. But the fact that the employees are flat out rude, make passive comments and close the bar 2 hours before it lists online, and on the physical sign, make me never want to come back.
2 hours before closing we were trying to play darts, and they started mopping around us so we felt like we weren’t supposed to be in that area, we moved to the other side of the bar and it wasn’t any more welcoming.
Tall male bartender in a flannel made comments about our orders and how he “can deny them,” meanwhile this was our first drink of the night. Same guy came by and asked us to wrap it up an hour before closing.
Overall, we were all really excited to try out this bar and it has great potential, but the employees are so unfortunate that I don’t think we’ll be coming back.

WOWZERS! My wife and I frequent Northend On Pearl often however we had never gone for brunch. Yesterday, we were trying to decide where we wanted to go to brunch and we had two other favorite brunch spots on our minds but then we thought, hey, we should try Northend On Pearl and boy, are we ever glad we did. My wife had the biscuits and gravy with a side of scrambled eggs and I had the eggs benedict with a pancake on the side. When I tell you everything was cooked to perfection, I am not exaggerating whatsoever. The biscuits were soft and fluffy and the gravy was as flavorful as they come with a perfect blend of sausage, rosemary, and a myriad of other flavors I can't even describe. My wife said it's her new favorite biscuits and gravy. The eggs benedict was beautiful and cooked to perfection. I know i keep saying perfection but there really is no other word. The muffin was soft, the ham was not just a big chunk of ham, but rather shaved and in abundance. The egg was ooey gooey and the hollandaise was golden and delicious! The pancake was thick and fluffy as can be! Emily was our amazing waitress who made sure our food came out hot and our coffees were full, all with a smile and cheerful demeanor. And to the chef, Bill... the food was on point...CHEF'S KISS 🤌
We have found our favorite brunch spot based on the food, the service, and the chef! Don't walk, run... I have no doubts you will love this place.

North End on Pearl is super cool because it has 5 or 6 areas of the public area so your group can feel intimate without disturbing other area.
The FOOD is ALWAYS yummy. You can just taste the care that the chefs put into each plate that they prepare. I adore their spaghetti nights! Although their grilled cheese is in the running for me because I do not eat a lot of meat. But can say that their fish wrap is wonderful!
Where they really shine is their music area. I come to dance 💃 on Thursday's jam 🎸 night! The venue is a few steps below the main floor in its own little spot. And it seems the acoustics are built for music! Lynn Sorensen and Manny Marais do an incredible job at managing all the local upcoming musical talent, no one ever leaves feeling sad!
I have built some absolute amazing friendships at the Pearl. I adore my musical 🎼 artist folk! This place is full of people that truly love music and are full of encouragement for any new comer!
The wait staff all know me by name and remember my FAVORITE food and beverage choices!
I also frequent North End on Pearl's Sister Draft Choice Bar and Grill in Auburn owned by the same people... similar vibe, but their seems to be more love in the air at North End...
The welcome was Nice. Ordered a Burger & fries looks good. Just finished bartending a concert & this place is a great location for someone who has had a long day in the sun.

The food was pretty good, servers were fine, new bartenders every time I've been in there. Been here 4 times. The patrons were rude, talking about politics and beating each other up. Couldn't get out of there fast enough.
