I will be fair, not biased. Half way home I realized I didn't have sauce for my sandwich and drove back to get it. When I got home I realized I was missing a burger, I called and easily solved the issue by choosing to go back and they would give me the burger rather then a refund. Only to find out they messed up the burger, and the sandwich I was missing sauce for had no toppings, just meat and bread...I understand mistakes happen, but this is too much.

The burgers are usually good, but the last time we got them, they were burnt, and the fries were so burnt we couldn't eat them. The only good part is their shakes still taste delicious. It's sad to see how the restaurant has fallen off after all these years.

Hals is always good. Always busy and small to dine in. But way better than fast food chains and way more options.

The past few times our family has been to Hal’s we always have an issue with our order. We decided to try it again and when we arrived home to enjoy our food this is what they gave us for a large onion ring and a burnt buns on 2-3 burgers.. It’s really disappointing.

Service blows . Called in an order ahead of time knowing it would take forever. Didn't have it 45 minutes after they told me it would be done never going again

I'm a sucker for old fashion hometown style burger joints. Worth a little extra cash for the size and craftsmanship. Ever since restaurants started overcooking burgers these places manage to still make em drippy And gooey full of flavor !

Good burger and onion rings. Shakes are good. Hours are tight but not horrible. Drive thru a little tight when busy goes out into road. Definitely worth the stop when you want Burgers in town. 59 diner vibes.

The service was very slow and the curly fries were more like shredded hash browns and they were dripping in oil that soaked through the bag and got everywhere. Disgusting.

The lack of customer service is astonishing. Miss the old owners and old crew. I was at the window for 8 min before they acknowledged me. They saw me as they were answering the phone. Not the same family atmosphere at all and expect to take 40min at minimum even when slow. The food itself is good but don’t expect good service.

Messed up my order and tried to blame it on me. Was told I could have all food remade then tried to charge me after for two of the baskets

The kind of place Bourdain would say out loud he wants to come back to. Good is an understatement. It’s honest. It’s a quintessential American dining experience done right. When the French crave American burgers, this is what they’re talking about.

Came here Saturday 8/24. Ordered milkshakes, Saturday meal (fries, cheeseburger and drink) and onion rings that I love from them. Both onion rings and the fries were burned. I couldn’t eat them. The girls up front were counting tips and splitting them up in front of us. I’m thinking: this is done when customers aren’t present or after hours. I was wondering how come the main girl didn’t feel awkward taking cash tip from the register but then the owner must be fine with it. I guess tips are more important than my food that’s is getting burned.

I called ahead and ordered over the phone, and in 10 minutes when I arrived my food was ready. The staff was cheery, welcoming, and friendly and our food was delicious. Such a value for the price! I got the Avocado Chicken sandwich, and it came with a plethora of guac and bacon nice and crisp. Chicken was cooked perfectly, still moist and with good flavor. Be sure to try their tartar sauce with your fries, it's a treat! ?
