We used to come here all the time before they changed ownership this year. The place was always clean. Staff was always friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was family friendly. Just dined in with my daughter Friday evening. I have never seen the place empty on a Friday afternoon/evening. The dining area is filthy. The staff is absent. Instead of a family friendly atmosphere there is no staff at the counter, explicit music blaring from the kitchen and listening to employees sweat and complain from the kitchen.
We didn't realize the place had transferred ownership. We won't be back.

Delicious food and friendly service. We went when they were extremely busy with cars lined up down the street but they were still making sure everyone was taken care of. The food was great and exactly what you'd expect from a drive in. I'd highly recommend.

Yummy burgers and fries. I'm not on a weight loss diet and love them grilled, greasy buns while biting into the meaty beef patties. I like my fries with a side of mayonnaise though.

Hals Drive-In has been one of my favorite diners for 50 yrs. Its food from my youth. Its a must eat for me at least once a month. The tarter sauce is the best I have EVER HAD and always buy an extra cup with my fries/onion rings. The ranch burger basket, the grilled cheese sandwhich and the corndog are always on my mind with craving the banana shakes.

Ordered a bacon cheeseburger wit tomato n lettuce no onions mustard only- got one wit a big glob of mustard no tomato n lettuce- didnt ck til got home- tried calling- no answer twice- wudnt recomend them 2 my enemy

Every time I come back home this is one of the first stops. Best burgers and fries around and best tartar sauce in Washington. Been going there since I could eat solid food and always bring my kids there. Great place.

I will be fair, not biased. Half way home I realized I didn't have sauce for my sandwich and drove back to get it. When I got home I realized I was missing a burger, I called and easily solved the issue by choosing to go back and they would give me the burger rather then a refund. Only to find out they messed up the burger, and the sandwich I was missing sauce for had no toppings, just meat and bread...I understand mistakes happen, but this is too much.
The burgers are usually good, but the last time we got them, they were burnt, and the fries were so burnt we couldn't eat them. The only good part is their shakes still taste delicious. It's sad to see how the restaurant has fallen off after all these years.

The past few times our family has been to Hal’s we always have an issue with our order. We decided to try it again and when we arrived home to enjoy our food this is what they gave us for a large onion ring and a burnt buns on 2-3 burgers.. It’s really disappointing.
