This place is a true gem 💎. Their commitment to the seasonal menu was evident; the dishes featured the freshest ingredients and vibrant flavors. For my main, I chose the special: house-made gnocchi with wild mushrooms and black cod. It was unbelievably tender and melt-in-your-mouth deliciousness. This was an awesome dinner, accompanied by an incredible atmosphere. I got the cedar blackened cod, it was phenomenal. They featured several vegetarian options, which my mother was very excited about. And our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu, and recommended wines to accompany our meal, perfectly. The crème brûlée and the chocolate desert were spectacular. Will be returning for sure.

On a road trip heading from Oregon to Poulsbo the pretty way and stopped here for dinner. Loved everything about Alder Wood Bistro. We had the mussel special, the salad special, a sausage and mushroom pizza and cheesecake. It was fresh, full of flavor, totally delicious. The team was welcoming and ran like clockwork. The locals were friendly. Our server Libby was delightful. We’ll be back next time we pass this way.

We had an amazing dinner tonight. It was difficult to decide what to have but settled on the roasted porchetta special, which was wonderful! Hubby had the steak frites, and cleaned his plate. We are already talking about what to have at our next visit. The staff was attentive and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening.

This was our second time here, we absolutely love it! It was our 10th Anniversary and it was a perfect place to celebrate. Excellent food, outstanding service and lovely atmosphere.

Loved the vegan and vegetarian recommendations - the pana cota, carrot cake, vegan pizza, and the vegetarian plate.

Food is incredible

Always spectacular service here at Alderwood. Our waitress/bartender Emily was amazing! Went for dinner and everything was fabulous, even with no reservation and with how busy they were we got a seat within a few minutes. Beautiful local art covers the walls, very atmospheric. It looked like there was also very nice outdoor seating. For drinks we did the Lavender Lemonade and the Sequim Lemon Drop. Both are made with local lavender syrup and in-house pea flower syrup. Super yummy, the cocktail was just the right strength and beautifully presented. For food we started with the Fried Calamari, it was very crispy, and came with super yummy pickled peppers. A very unique and tasty flavor combination. Then for our meals we got the 3-piece Fish and Chips and the Steak Frite. The fish was super crispy and nice meaty pieces. The French fries were amazing so crispy on the outside, still tender and potato-y on the inside. The Steak Frite came with a choice of butter and I got the Umami-kimchi, it also came with roasted veggies and French Fries. The steak was super tender, melted in my mouth. The roasted veggies were a variety of interesting things. Some of which I'm sure I've never tried before, but all super tasty. The Sicilian Pizza was delicious. Super crispy fire roasted crust and sweet and delicious toppings. Overall a very fresh and elevated experience of flavors.

We have date nights here as often as possible….and we have also taken our entire family. The absolute BEST food and drinks on the Peninsula. It’s consistently amazing and they have the nicest staff. Trust me and always end your meal with the chocolate cake and (decaf) coffee! Love love it here!

We were in town from Houston, chose this place because it had great reviews and was nearby our hotel. We had no idea we'd be having the best meal during our trip to Washington.

The pizza was one of the best we ever had, and the desserts were great. You could tell everything was homemade and all the ingredients were fresh. Our server Libby was amazing, and the atmosphere was cozy and friendly.

We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone nearby.
