This was my second time at Essence and both times were exactly the same, wonderful! The staff is friendly and patient when you are fumbling over what to order. They can answer your questions about their menu and know about the coffee they serve. The flavor of the coffee is lovely. I'll be trying different items on the board to taste them all. They also serve some tasty sounding specials that I'd love to give a shot.
I am visiting Washington from Indiana, we stopped at this coffee shop with some friends. It is so pretty inside, very clean & classic. However, the reason why I’m writing a review, my mocha coffee might be the best cup of coffee I’ve ever had! I’ve been to so many coffee shops all around the US, but never had a coffee like the one I had here! My mocha was sooo smooth, blended perfectly, not a hint of bitterness, I’m honestly so sad I can’t come back everyday to get it. The workers were also very kind! 10/10 recommend, if I ever come back to Washington I’m stopping here!
