Was originally going to another Mexican place, but the wait was too long. Then Jose's was recommended. My question was to my companions, why the blazes wasn't this place first on the list? Good food and service was basically self-serve, so I left room for personal growth there.
Try here first, really down to earth good cooking.

Jose's is one of the most comfortable places we've been to. They have a great location that welcomes you to enjoy every public event Sequim has. The food is solid and it's easy to have a great vegan burrito here, catch up on the season's sports, and enjoy some good natured local folks. Every time we've visited, there are some amazing people working and working with each other to deliver a positive experience. The salsa may be available in the local grocery stores, and congratulations for that success, but you should stop in to Jose's to get a little dose of why Sequim is a cool place to be.

0 stars if I could. The “server” was very dry and unprofessional, first, she totally ignored us once we walked in, when finally got her attention we ordered our food and when she brought the plates she spilled the sauce (sauce that we had to stand and go to grab it by ourselves) on the table and she just bring a bunch of napkins to us (to clean up her mess she did by ourselves too?) not even saying a sorry or a word. We didn’t see anything to her because we were so hungry and unpleasant enough to make a bigger deal. We went to this place because of our Airbnb host recommend this place as “one of the best places to eat” I can’t imagine how are the other places around. Anyway. We just want to recommend that when you bring the appetizer you have to bring plates on the side to share it something that she didn’t do. But the most important advice is that you have a better people taking care of your clients more humans and professional if she doesn’t like Mexican culture or people what is she doing there.? We like to leave a 20% tip every restaurant we go and this wasn’t the exception. We know about service and professionalism. My siblings work in the industry and they really know how to give great service and no matter what. Worst experience ever here in Washington.

This was a weird experience all around. I went in and sat at a table marked for dining in. After a bit the bartender came over and asked me if I wanted menus and everything. She took my drink order and didn’t come back for about 10 minutes to take my food order. It was then that I realized they were closing in less than an hour.
I was visiting from Texas and this is the first time in my life I have ever been served chips with no salsa. And at a place with salsa in the name?? What even is that about??
The food was okay, not great. The bartender was making me feel rushed. I asked for a container for the beans I had ordered and was given a cardboard box.
Like I said, a weird experience all around. I was in town for 10 days and never even considered going back.

The absolute worst carne asada burrito I have ever had. No spices whatsoever. Just over-salted meat, rice, and beans. My wife ordered the fish tacos. Fried breaded fish? I could go home and roll up a fish stick for a lot less. Seriously?
Margaritas? More sugar than tequila. Ugh.
Service was great!

Cool little spot in Squim. They have a very fun thing going on where they have a self-serve salsa bar with many different kinds of fresh ingredient salsas. They have a fairly limited option menu but it has lots of sub-options in it. I had the shredded beef burrito platter. It came with a smothered red sauce burrito and it had shredded lettuce and cheese over the top with a scoop of sour cream and guac. It was tasty and delicious. They have a full bar with lots of craft drinks available and a large local craft beer menu. They had the Thursday night NFL game on.

Ordered pork tamales they weren’t good at all beans and rice the same bland sorry to say but I would not recommend and like I said rice was not good by far. Salsa ok the habanero was spicy good. But a little too hot for me and I like hot! But was not that bad drowned the taste of the tamales a little. Their guacamole was very good! Service good and customers. I hope rest of items are a bit better. I heard Carne asada was good maybe I just picked wrong item and tamales aren’t the easiest to perfect. But was a very friendly place. Staff very nice.

Can you find a good Mexican restaurant in Washington? Yes you can in Sequim.
I had the carne asada. It was very good with grilled onions and beans and rice.
My wife had the chili relleno. It was great with lots of cheeses.

Good burritos and delicious salsa. They also have a full bar. Very casual. The bar is on one side the majority of dining room is on the other. The food tastes like it's home made. The salsa is great and is well known in the area. Some grocery stores sell it. I had a burrito but they have a nice menu with other Mexican food items as well.

The nachos we limp and flavorless. Jalapeño margaritas was so lumpy and unstrained that it was hard to drink. Server was sweet and attentive.
