Great food, service was nice, and the atmosphere was perfect. Nice people, not too busy, and the staff was all very friendly. We had carne asada wet burrito, chicken wet burrito, fiesta chicken salad, and the oyster special: oysters on a half shell with butter, hot sauce, and lime. It was all so good. The salsa bar is the best. We had lots of different salsas. The portions are huge and the food is all very fresh and so good!
The special verde burrito was absolutely delicious although it wasn't warmed all the way through. Our waitress was just ok but could use a refresher course on customer service skills. The junkie walking up and down the street decided to come in a couple of times and throw his sock toys onto the street and sidewalk. I'd stop again but what could have been a 5 star review has to settle for a 4.
Was originally going to another Mexican place, but the wait was too long. Then Jose's was recommended. My question was to my companions, why the blazes wasn't this place first on the list? Good food and service was basically self-serve, so I left room for personal growth there.
