Black Bear Diner Reviews
We just had the Meat loaf, mashed potatoes and gravy dinner, oh my gosh it was absolutely amazing, the meat loaf, gravy, everything was perfect, the portions more than enough, with salad and a corn bread muffin, compliments to the chef, 👌
Oh boy! What a treat it always is. Everything is superb, breakfast, lunch or dinner. But I had cheesecake there that now is my all-time favorite. I was 18 when I had my first cheesecake in a Jewish deli in downtown Los Angeles. It was what I was told was the real New York cheesecake, tall, light and more like moist cake. I hadn’t had anything like it since (60+ years) till last week. I went back this week for more. You can have various toppings, if you so choose.
I have been there multiple times, and always have a great experience, consistently friendly attentive service and quality food. It's become one of the few places I would go regularly in Sequim. A special diner with great selections, love the breakfast items. You never leave hungry but always leave wanting to come back. Be aware it's getting discovered, so it can get busy at times.

Black Bear Diner Sequim offers a welcoming atmosphere with friendly staff and a charming Northwoods-ish decor featuring custom carved bears. The restaurant provides well-crafted food and attentive service, making it a great place for both breakfast and dinner. The fish and chips were delightful, with fresh coleslaw and crunchy fish, while the sweet potato fries and blackberry French toast received high praise. The hamburger salad was amazing, with a wonderful thousand island dressing made in-house. The pancakes are considered the best, and the "Reuben" sandwich is a favorite, often praised as the best in town, especially since other local restaurants only serve it on Saint Patrick’s Day. Portion sizes are large, making it a good stop for travelers, with dishes like pot roast with onion rings and Chicken Caesar Melt highly recommended. Despite being busy at lunchtime, parking was available, and service was prompt, with staff checking to ensure satisfaction. The restaurant can accommodate large groups, as experienced by a party of 18, with staff like Misty providing excellent assistance. Overall, Black Bear Diner Sequim is a top-notch spot where good food and friendly service keep customers coming back for more.
