Very nice dinner. Tomato Bisque was exceptional and loved the accompanying cornbread. Meatloaf was as good as mom’s. Great green beans and OK potatoes. Fair prices and friendly service.
When my friend ordered and asked for a second biscuit, the waitress said "Are you sure?" and asked if we'd ever seen their biscuits. Was she ever right! It was very good, and we had plenty for another meal. They should open restaurants in the East, it would blow them out of the water in the Smoky Mountains.
Had been to a Black Bear Diner in Madres, Oregon so we were delighted to find one here. We ordered breakfast and the bacon was crispy and tasty, the biscuit was a hit. The coffee was good, and it was hot. Fruit was perfectly ripe. The waffle was a little too sweet for my wife’s taste, but she covered it with syrup and ate 4/5th of it. Did I mention the biscuit. A little butter with some blackberry jam, my oh my. Service was excellent. Clean and airy atmosphere.
This is a great breakfast spot, the food is great! the hash browns were fresh and crispy. I did ask for them to be crispy and got what I asked for! The portions are huge really huge, that most likely they offer a lighter portion on the menu and if you read the story on the front of the menu you will know why they also offer a lighter portion. I won't spoil it you will have to read for yourself. The bacon is also very good
Great service, excellent food and portions. Hubby had small version of meatloaf meal ans enjoyed it immensely. I had bowl of chowder with small side of fruit and it was plenty.
The service was great. The breakfast was wonderful and a healthy portion size. The cold brew was great as well. You can even get some pie.
My food was on the edge pf burnt. Greasy, overcooked dark brown potatoes. Omelette so so. Pancakes overdone, mine and my wife's. This place used to be OK. Right now, I wouldn't waste my moey or time. They need to hire a real cook.

Mediocre at best. Definitely not a normal black bear diner in my experience. Not sure why but boyfriend was immediately sick after eating a Reuben there.
I tried to eat lunch here. I was having a bad day and needed solid comfort food. When I walked in, there was a large party cashing out so I waited. Two couples came in after me, and despite me standing in front, I was completely ignored. The two couples were seated before me and I was not even acknowledged. I wanted a table but at that point I just asked if I could sit at the counter which I was going to do until I thought better about spending money at an establishment that I was invisible at so I left. I get busy but horrible customer service to just ignore someone.

*edit* I would like to add, although I had a not so pleasant experience with the hostesses. The manager did reach out to apologize and that did mean alot to me. Thank you!
Walked in alone for lunch, said "hello" to the 3 women standing there talking, and received no response. This should've been my reason to just leave, but I was staying at the hotel, and it's in walking distance. The younger pregnant hostess walks to the stand and just stares at me, so I say "for one please," and she then shows me to a table. For her to be the hostess and not even know how to respond in a polite or welcoming manner is crazy.
The waitress was sweet, and the food was ok.
But even at check out, the older hostess that was standing there chatting when I walked in was also super rude and waited for me to say something so I could pay and leave.
Pretty disappointing lunch and hostess service.

We stopped in and it looked very busy. They said 15 min wait. I said really, and they replied yes. So we parked and waited 30 minutes. After being seated we waited at least 15-20 minutes before our order was taken and another 30 to get our food. The waitress said 2 big parties came in before us, but they needed to compensate. It was not that busy otherwise anymore. The food unfortunately wasn't good either. My husband and I had the chicken club. Lousy bread and small little bits of chicken. Overall we were expecting much better food for the amount of people that were there. Maybe because not much to choose from in Sequim.

Went in to celebrate Father's 89th birthday, ordered the Swiss and mushroom burger. It was good but overly greasy. And had a mother with a screaming baby placed across the aisle from us, very annoying.

Horrible service, was told our party of 3 needed to wait 5 minutes as there are no tables available. But the restaurant was half empty. We were eventually seated in an area with 8 tables empty. The next party came in and was seated right away and served drinks right away as our drinks were forgotten. Employees just walked around.

The guy in the kitchen with all the tattoos repeatedly touched his face and head and then proceeded to cook without washing his hands.
Maybe remind them of food safety as well as the fact that customers can see them.
Thanks
