My food was on the edge pf burnt. Greasy, overcooked dark brown potatoes. Omelette so so. Pancakes overdone, mine and my wife's. This place used to be OK. Right now, I wouldn't waste my moey or time. They need to hire a real cook.

Mediocre at best. Definitely not a normal black bear diner in my experience. Not sure why but boyfriend was immediately sick after eating a Reuben there.
I tried to eat lunch here. I was having a bad day and needed solid comfort food. When I walked in, there was a large party cashing out so I waited. Two couples came in after me, and despite me standing in front, I was completely ignored. The two couples were seated before me and I was not even acknowledged. I wanted a table but at that point I just asked if I could sit at the counter which I was going to do until I thought better about spending money at an establishment that I was invisible at so I left. I get busy but horrible customer service to just ignore someone.

*edit* I would like to add, although I had a not so pleasant experience with the hostesses. The manager did reach out to apologize and that did mean alot to me. Thank you!
Walked in alone for lunch, said "hello" to the 3 women standing there talking, and received no response. This should've been my reason to just leave, but I was staying at the hotel, and it's in walking distance. The younger pregnant hostess walks to the stand and just stares at me, so I say "for one please," and she then shows me to a table. For her to be the hostess and not even know how to respond in a polite or welcoming manner is crazy.
The waitress was sweet, and the food was ok.
But even at check out, the older hostess that was standing there chatting when I walked in was also super rude and waited for me to say something so I could pay and leave.
Pretty disappointing lunch and hostess service.

We stopped in and it looked very busy. They said 15 min wait. I said really, and they replied yes. So we parked and waited 30 minutes. After being seated we waited at least 15-20 minutes before our order was taken and another 30 to get our food. The waitress said 2 big parties came in before us, but they needed to compensate. It was not that busy otherwise anymore. The food unfortunately wasn't good either. My husband and I had the chicken club. Lousy bread and small little bits of chicken. Overall we were expecting much better food for the amount of people that were there. Maybe because not much to choose from in Sequim.

Went in to celebrate Father's 89th birthday, ordered the Swiss and mushroom burger. It was good but overly greasy. And had a mother with a screaming baby placed across the aisle from us, very annoying.

Horrible service, was told our party of 3 needed to wait 5 minutes as there are no tables available. But the restaurant was half empty. We were eventually seated in an area with 8 tables empty. The next party came in and was seated right away and served drinks right away as our drinks were forgotten. Employees just walked around.

The guy in the kitchen with all the tattoos repeatedly touched his face and head and then proceeded to cook without washing his hands.
Maybe remind them of food safety as well as the fact that customers can see them.
Thanks
It was kinda what you'd expect or hope it would be. Young but attentive staff, Well crafted food and nice Northwoods ish decor with custom carved bears. Maybe a touch on the pricy side. But not out of line with the quality and service.

The hamburger salad was amazing. The thousands island dressing was wonderful, according to the server, it's made in-house.
Parking: This was a very busy lunchtime today, but we're able to get parking. Also, I only had a 15-minute wait. Waitress was pleasant even though it was a full restaurant. Received food in a timely manner. Waitress came by after we received our food to confirm we were satisfied.

Sadly this place seemed have gone down hill. We arrived and no one greeted us for a good few minutes, the restaurant was pretty empty and the staff was all chatting with each other. Not a bad thing to do just if people are waiting to be seated doesn’t bode well. After being seated the waitress was nice and took our orders pretty fast. Sadly our food was not up to the normal black bear quality. My fries were soft and cold, my burger was not the best but fine. The soup was hot but looked like it came from the can and had not been stirred (thick and gloopy). When we asked for napkins and some sauces we got a very rude, what else can I get you?! And on top of all of that we both had stomach issues right after eating. Maybe not clean enough in the kitchen? 🤷♀️ but I will not be returning to this location anytime soon.

My wife and I stopped in for the first time for dinner a few nights ago. The staff were outstanding. But the food was mediocre at best. My wife likened it to "hospital food". We had two meals and desserts, drank water, and the bill was $100. Definitely not a hundred dollar meal. We won't be back.
