best papusas I’ve ever had and I just moved here from the bay area, CA. the slaw is unmatched and I always get extra and end up eating it by itself it’s that good.

If we’re going on just food, it’s so delicious! My family had pupusas, Mexican tamales, and the pasteles con pollo. The dishes themselves were amazing but the highlight was the pickled cabbage salsa. Definitely we’ll be back again the next time we’re headed through Shelton. However, we’ll be better prepared. It’s clear this place doesn’t expect you to stick around to eat. There was a port-a-potty but it was locked. There wasn’t a garbage and there was no place to sit and eat. Even a standing table to eat at would have been nice with no other amenities. A lot of people, including my family, drive through Shelton to camp and Shelton is a great place to stop and get something to eat. A place to stretch your legs and get out of the car. Ana’s Pupusaria is five stars for food- I will be back- but maybe with a picnic blanket next time!

Drove over from Olympia because we heard Ana's was the best in the area. And they were not wrong. Got home, took a bite (pupusa revuelta!!!!) And nearly cried. It had been over 6 years since I've had such a familiar taste. And the horchata too!!! It's THE BEST!!!!
The price is awesome (~$5 a pupusa, much better than paying $18 for two somewhere in Oly), and the taste is even better. It is so worth the drive.
Plan on coming back ASAP and making this a regular stop.
