5/10/24 I want to thank the manager working night shift. I called to make sure the deli was open. Was told they were open til nine o'clock but stopped making hot food at eight. I walked in and when I got to the deli. I was told that the only thing they had for cold cuts was pre sliced. I ask the workers for fresh sliced and was told that was all they had. I commented that the deli should have fresh coldcuts.I walked back up to the front of the store. And asked to speak to the manager. I explained to her what I had experienced. She smiled said really let's go see. We walked over to the deli. After talking with the two employees there they both said oh it was a misunderstanding. It wasn't a misunderstanding. I made perfectly clear what I was looking for. They agreed to get fresh meat cut for me. I asked for two particular products from one of their brands. I asked for him because they were significantly on sale. The gentleman who cut my cold cuts didn't listen to me again and caught the most expensive brand of cold cuts. When I asked them about this, of course it was my fault. I didn't explain it well enough. Okay so maybe I didn't explain it well enough but when I was pointing read at it how did that confuse him. The manager had actually come back around and saw what had happened and made them change the price from the the premium brand. They were trying to sell me to the stuff that was on sale. I could have been a jerk and I would have been if she hadn't come over and made them reslice it. I think her name was Deanna. I know it's hard getting good help these days. But not wanting to do the job that they're paid for because they had already cleaned that area of the deli is not good. My family spends quite a bit of money in Safeway. I could go to Fred Meyer QFC Walmart but I choose to go to Safeway. The manager saved them a customer tonight and I've been a loyal customer for over 35 years.

There are a lot of homeless here who are bad however there is a couple I've talked to who are trying to get out they got jobs and are soon going to be moving on however one of the managers came to speak to them and was very disrespectful. Please keep in mind not all homeless are drug addicts some just dont have the finances after Covid and everything so while there is still bad please remember not all are and furthermore no matter who you are respect should still be giving honestly how that blonde manager treated those people just made me not sure I should come back. She was very rude and said things that just didn't need to be said. Sad that there are people out there that just don't have a good enough heart to show respect to those genuinely struggling and working their buts off to get out. Hopefully that couple continues to improve despite those judgements of people like the manager. Please keep in mind that not all the staff there are kind. And there is a lot of homeless but some are genuinely good people so please don't just judge. And keep an eye out of that blonde manager because she has a very bad temper and a very bad mouth. Thank you for listening and I really hope something will be done because that hurt my heart and was deeply offensive.

any claims that the Shelton Safeway might make toward protecting their customers through social distancing or wearing of masks are an absolute fabrication. their manager was wearing a mask on his chin, not covering his mouth or nose. they had staff not wearing them at all. they ignored social distancing with me, and when I demanded that they step back and give me appropriate space to protect my health I was laughed at by the evening manager, Justin. The evening manager on Tuesday of this week, Justin, should be fired. Safeway is no longer a safe place to shop.

none of the employees was wearing their mask to cover their nose. not even the manager! i used to shop here but they hiked up prices beyond the other local stores and they put their shoppers in danger. Shop Fred Meyer. at least they care about their customer's health

I really enjoy going to this safeway because the staff is so helpful especially the night manager Xavier Angel he is always so quick to help with anything and will drop whatever he is doing to help me find an item. Xavier has great customer service.

In recent months our store in Shelton, WA has been woefully understaffed..2 checkers with lines 15 feet long. There is no option for self checkout! i am avoiding this store as much as I can!

Employee was wonderful, but almost all of the white later cakes were raspberry filled, which was rather unfortunate, as I can't have chocolate, and am not fond of raspberry. The employee was more than happy to accommodate my request of adding icing. She couldn't decorate it nicely, because she wasn't a decorator, but she told me that upfront, and I knew the person I was getting the cake for would be happier with more icing than a pretty cake. It was a great experience, though we did end up with a raspberry filled cake in the end due to mislabeling...

Went to this Safeway today. Got everything i needed get to the register I ended up with a new person who didn't know how to work the system. Which wasn't the problem. The problem was she didn't know how to work the system so my debit card kept getting declined about 7 times she did this. She then decided to suspend it and send me to costumer service and she didn't know how to do that so yelled to the people in line behind me. "Im sorry she doesn't have enough funds we are trying to figure it out" � i go to costumer service surprise surprise same debit card went threw zero problems. The cashier there told me the other lady is new and didn't know what she was doing. � so very unprofessional even if I really didn't have enough funds that is very very rude and disrespectful.
