I found Susan’s to be filthy. Tables sticky with grease. The smell as I entered the place should have been enough to deter my visit, but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. No benefits were given. 😬

Whenever we are in town we come for the chicken and waffles & country fried steak and eggs. I have tried multiple places since first having had the true, southern breakfast. This place has the best!

Just ordered DoorDash from Suzan’s and it was AMAZING. I manage a restaurant and I know how difficult it can be to get the food out the door insuring it arrives like it would in house, and they did a great job. Best food I’ve had in Shelton since I moved here, will definitely be dinning in next time.

Love this place... Used to live in Shelton for years. Drove 2 hrs to be here before close today. Parked at 1:20 pm outside the door. Told at door "We are closed for the day now." by their worst waitress, in my opinion, who was never happy nor in a good mood nor appreciated her job in customer service. 40 minutes until their scheduled close. Listed on the door said waitress met us at. Same time their website says. Didn't even offer a chance to give us to go order options. Plenty of time to make the meals we already knew we wanted. So rude. What a shame for such a delicious place to eat at. Wish it wasn't the waitress who hates her job when are 3 smiling faces where stopped at the door.

When i explained we've been waiting awhile, the waitress told me they are busy and there's nothing to do about it.
I couldn't stand the attitude she gave me. Like it was my fault and how dare I mention it. I understand waiting for food, But 45min is a joke and so was the eggs Benedict that was over cooked.
It was a bummer of a morning

Great food! Service is s little slow... But they're so busy every time I'm there, I can't complain. Usually a line to wait for a table, we have become regulars now!
The portions were huge (both of us had a second meal for later), and it was fantastic! It's a small place, so they get the food out hot and fast.
