“I went to kitanda the first time with no expectations, only for them to be greatly exceeded. I have tried dirty chai at nearly every coffee stand and cafe I’ve been to, but no other cafe has done it as well as kitanda. I also ordered a cheese roll, which was cooked very well and hit the spot perfectly. The coconut blends in so well! The staff was also very fast and very kind. I dined in, and was glad I did. My dirty chai was done in what seemed like a minute flat. They also have take home coffee, cups, food, and plenty of seating. As someone who often gets a late start to their day, it’s nice having a place that’s open when it is. Next I plan on trying an Americano and a coconut treat. My only note to this whole establishment would be to have some soft music playing :) otherwise, I had an amazing experience and I will be back!
Parking: Plenty of parking with business specific signs so it’s always available
Kid-friendliness: Shorter chairs, no harsh music, friendly staff“

“Great vibes! Friendly quick staff, really chill atmosphere and the food is amazing! Absolutely would bring an out of towner here to show off what Seattle’s got! Yum! Definitely watch out for the double tip though! 15% is included and they asked for a tip on top of that tip.“

“My wife and I love this place. They have the best and most authentic acai bowls in the Seattle area. Both owners are from Brazil and one of them is from the region acai comes from, so he has the best understanding of the way it should taste and the best quality of acai. We highly recommend the acai bowls and also the mini coquinas with the green sauce.“

“This is a wonderful and unique dining experience. You can try a few bites of dozens of different foods. It’s one of my favorite restaurants. We’ve been here for several holidays. Everyone always has a great time. Monica and Brianna took great care of us on our anniversary.“

“I wish I had found this place earlier… a must go when you enjoy good, fresh and less processed food - which was surprisingly hard for me in Seattle.
I had a Kitanda bread and an Açaí bowl and both were delicious and freshly made.
The Flate White was also pretty good!“

“I stop by Kitanda in the U District pretty often, and I’m always impressed by how fast and consistent they are. Even when it’s busy, the staff keeps things moving and the service is smooth.
They’re not super chatty, but they’re polite, quick, and get the job done right, which I actually prefer when I’m on the go. Great spot for a quick and tasty bite!“

“This is my favorite coffee shop in Seattle! I’ve been going there for years and always had good
service. Not only the coffee is good but the açaí bowls are very generous
and the kitanda bread is an amazing option for a delicious gluten free treat.“

“On Christmas Eve about 4 o'clock my family left an event in downtown Seattle and were really hungry. We looked on line for something on our way home to Lake Forest Park that was open. There weren't many choices and this place had pretty good reviews and was open. We were a little leary when we drove up. It was in an off location and small and modest. When we went in the staff was super friendly and welcoming. The menu looked great and we all ordered. After tasting the gorgeous food and generous cocktails, we were hooked. We usually do not return to places as we like to try something new, but we will definitely return to Botteco Brazil, Shoreline.“
