The side dishes (panchan) and main dishes are very good, especially the soups. The man that waits tables, buses tables, hosts and does everything is very nice and great if not too busy.

Good little place to drop in if you're craving Korean. Side dishes were lovely and refilled often and the food we ordered was authentic and tasty. Luckily it wasnt busy when we went and they seated our large-ish party of 7 immediately. Nice little hidden gem.

Most authentic gamjatang (pork bone soup) I've had in the Seattle this far. Also loved their kimchi. Lots of side dishes offered and service was fast and friendly. Would definitely return for more gamjatang!

The black goat hotpot was completely different from what it was. This new edition is just straight bad. The meat is hard to chew and very lean, the soup is too strong to be enjoyed.
Just learnt this restaurant had recently changed owner. Price going up while food quality going down. This will be our last visit here.

The bulgogi is really mediocre and price is disproportionally high. But portion is generous. The banchans are really unauthentic to say the least. I had to spit out some of them cuz they taste really bad.

I've never had such a disappointing evening here. I was told it recently changed owners but took a chance. The side dishes were good and came out immediately! We ordered Tteokboki, LA GALBI, and Soondubu (one seafood and one mushroom-extra spicy). Tteokboki was so-so and needed more flavor/kick. LA Galbi was the best thing. Our two Soondubu came out a weird light orange color and tasted like water. My extra spicy Soondubu was bland and watery. No spice.... There was no seasoning (msg, salt, gochugaru). We told the lady (probably owner) and she apologized and had the cook reheat the soup and they added some salt. It still didn't taste good. I've been coming here 10 years even with a few owner changes and never had the food be this.... Bleh. And they still charged me for everything. They just lost not just one customer but a whole family that's been coming for many years.

This place is great for both big groups and also couples or individuals. There's still a lot of room after they remodeled their seating. It used to be more open when I was here years ago, and now they have a wall in the middle of the room to divide the seating. I was worried it would make me feel more claustrophobic, but it actually allows for a little more privacy.
We got the LA kalbi and bulgogi and tasted the seafood pancake. Their seafood pancake is the best one I've had out of 3 different Korean restaurants I've been to this season - both in terms of flavors and size. I didn't have any doughy or overly burnt pieces like I've had at another restaurant. The unique thing about the bulgogi is that it comes with an electric cooker (not sure what it's called), so you have to wait for the mushrooms and onions to cook because they're raw. I'm not sure if I like this or not because it takes up a lot of room. The amount of meat provided in both dishes was fair for the price. Plus, their flavors were on point.
One of the only things that shocked me was the bibimbap because I don't remember it being so small. The price was almost $20 for a small bowl. Usually I have enough for leftovers at other Korean restaurants or here years ago, but the new size looks too small. I would probably stick with getting meats and the seafood pancake. The banchan was pretty standard - nothing amazingly unique or bad. I did like the tofu one the most.

I’ve been a loyal customer of Hae-Nam for over two years, but my recent visit left me disappointed. With new ownership, the dishes have changed, and not for the better. The taste isn’t what it used to be, and the increased prices make it hard to justify coming back. It’s a shame to see a favorite spot lose its charm. However, the staff remains friendly and attentive, which is why I’m leaving two stars.

Terrible long wait for one order pick up. guests who were served after we placed our order got their food first. 45 min wait. Pretty ridiculous
