Bought the baklava as well as the chocolate and it was disappointing to say the least. It was very dense at the bottom (almost stale in a way) making it feel like I was eating fish cake more than a flaky dessert. The regular baklava had a nutty flavor that followed bitter almost

On Sunday (May 4th), after attending church in Shoreline, I decided to enjoy a picnic at Richmond Beach—a nostalgic visit after having lived in Bothell for the past seven years. Before heading to the park, I stopped by Sultan Gyro and Shawarma around 1:30pm to grab a bite.

While I was looking forward to the meal, my interaction with the young man at the register left me feeling uncomfortable. When I used the term “lavash,” he responded with a smirk and corrected me, calling it a “tortilla,” in a way that felt unnecessarily dismissive. I did appreciate the cook's friendlier demeanor and was glad he completed my order, as I didn’t feel up to continuing the conversation with the cashier.

As I was leaving, the cashier called out “have a nice day” in a tone that felt more combative than kind—an unfortunate way to end the visit.

As someone who is neurodivergent, I value environments where staff are mindful and inclusive. Seattle is generally a place that embraces diversity, and I hope that leadership can improve its customer service training to reflect that spirit.

Unfortunately, I don’t see myself returning, but I do hope my feedback helps bring about a more welcoming experience for others in the future.

We ordered shawarma meals. Shawarma is sliced lamb meat (like Gyro).

👎This was not Shawarma but Kebab (ground lamb meat).

👍The fries were the best.

Don't understand all the good food reviews. My only guess is that they haven't had really good Middle Eastern food

Mediocre at very best. Nothing traditional about it. Neither Greek or Arabic. Bland and missing the tastes one would expect from either culture
Had the lamb schwarma and my wife had chicken gyro salad. Quantities were ok but we will not be coming back.
Gyro Hut much better

Nice chicken shawarma wraps and honestly great salads. Didn’t like the backlava very much.

Honestly, first time I went there in in mid 2022 the service was absolutely terrible. The food was terrible, and whoever was the cashier at that time wasn't exactly painting the store in a bright light. But now 3 years later they have improved massively in terms of taste and service. I can finally get my order without the cashier staring into my soul and then eating dry chicken when I do get my order.

Let's start with the amazing! The young man who took my order and cooked?!?!?! If i could, I would throw a paperball at him! The food was so delicious! Like take off ya shoe delicious! The rice!?!? I've never had such flavorful rice. What did they put in it?!?!?! Idk, but it had to be a controlled substance because it's all I can think about! He was friendly and helpful. I mean, come on! The only reason the atmosphere got a 3 was because I was cold. I'm also new to the region so cold is to be expected! Listen, I know this isn't the normal touristy stop, but THIS place is a MUST TASTE!!! Pllleeeaasee, do yourself and your taste buds the favor and check this spot out!
You're welcome ❣️
