Best breakfast and comfort food. Fantastic portions fire all to enjoy. The cinnamon rolls are and absolute must. Toast, pancakes, and cinnamon rolls should be chosen over biscuits, but everything else is a hit across the board!

Expensive for having to wait 30 minutes for my food to be ready after saying it was ready for 20 minutes.

I hadn't been mean here in almost 25 years. I remembered loving the cinnamon roll but wasn't sure about the rest of the food. The cinnamon roll was super good. Huge, warm, lots of icing. And it had some raisins in it. Not with to bother me, but worth mentioning. Small nit-pick, I wish the icing was either cream cheese based or more similar to Cinnabon. It wasn't bad, but it tasted like a standard powdered sugar icing.
I ordered the biscuits and gravy. The sausage gravy was great, but the biscuit wasn't my favorite style. It was pretty crumbly and lost all structure as I dug into it. Tasted fine. But I like a flakier Southern biscuit as opposed to this looser kind.
My biggest issue is with the potatoes. They say that they're country-fried red potatoes, but I don't think they're fried at all. They were sort of al dente. The pictures online make them look crispy and golden brown, but these were pale and soft on the outside, still firm in the middle. I believe they're cooking them in too large of a batch and they're not able to get a good texture. This is a personal preference thing, and others might like this. If I had to sacrifice some volume to get a better texture, I would gladly do it.
Overall I'm still giving it a 4 out of 5, but I wouldn't come back for the potatoes or the biscuits and gravy. The cinnamon roll is great, though. $20 for this plate of biscuits and gravy with undercooked potatoes and two eggs (excellent eggs) is a bit steep.

Not one to give reviews, but when the hype is so high and the reviews and accolades are full of praise, I would expect more.
The biscuits where undercooked, the red potatoes where severly under cooked and looked like soggy fries on the plate. The sausage links where undercooked and still had pink in the middle. Then to top it all off my son and I both ordered a breakfast,2 Ojs and a cup of coffe and the total was almost 60$ on top of a ten dollar tip that is 70$ for two people. Don't mind paying for good food but when the quality is below average, it is just not worth the money.
I have been in the industry for 20 years. This is a breakfast spot, your main focus is breakfast food, your cooks should take pride in the quality of product you put out and the execution should be on point. Yes the food comes out fast which is great but not if quality suffers because of it. I rather wait for properly cooked food, then fast food that is simply not executed properly.
Don't believe the hype.

Atmosphere charming, staff friendly and efficient, food delicious. It's well worth the wait. My only caveat is that the stairs can be tricky for people with mobility issues; they are narrow and steep.
Old school diner type experience. My dad grew up in snohomish and told me that the Cafe is in the old maltby high-school cafeteria. I expect he's probably right. Good menu of classic dishes. Price is good, so is the food. Definitely recommend!
