Worst experience ever. Asked for almond chicken. Instead got two orders of spicy kung pao and Mongolian beef. The beef was chewy and soggy. It was almost soaked in water. I asked for my money back and they told me I have to drive back to their location which is 30 minutes away. Not Ok. They charged us $70.

This spot is close to my house and I do like the food. But, today I got a combination plate with half spicy chicken and half beef with veggie fried rice instead of white to go and I was charged $27 and some change.. that’s insanely expensive for one plate. I had my receipt texted to me but it never came. I will not be back.

Great little slip of a place. Large portioning and tasty. Reminds me of Nasai Teriyaki from UW in the 1990s. A bit pricey, as most things now seem to be.

I’ve read the reviews and decided to give it a try and form my own conclusion!

Walking into this teriyaki restaurant was like entering a paradox—a place with pristine cleanliness, impeccable service, and... chalky teriyaki. Yes, the history of their teriyaki sauce reads more like a tragic tale of missed potential than a culinary triumph.

But let’s give credit where it’s due. The staff were superb, attentive, and friendly, as if they graduated top of their class in Customer Service 101. And the free soup? A warm, comforting gesture that almost made you forget about the underwhelming main event.

So, if you’re after top-notch service and a clean dining experience, this is your spot. Just don’t expect the teriyaki to be the star of the show—more like a background extra with a few lines.

First of all no one Japanese is cooking. Shrimp is over cooked frozen then fried. Fried rice all four of use couldn’t eat it. It was full of grease. Cornstarch put on beef to make it thick and shiny is uncooked so it tastes Gross ? non of us ate our meals. The worst by far food we’ve ever eaten. Beef is so tough I had to chew it try to pull it spark with my fingers. Again no one in the Asian family is cooking so they don’t know how to cook beef tender and cut of meat is cheap. Don’t waste your money you’ll be sorry just so much oil it’s not edible.

I like teriyaki. I don’t have it often, maybe because I am usually so underwhelmed by the places I have it. This night, I found myself hungry, and One Teriyaki was close. Never been there. I prepared to be underwhelmed. At least the place was clean and tidy. To my surprise, my order came out in half the time I expected it. On a large, square, black plate with VERY generous portions of spicy chicken, rice and salad. It is the best teriyaki I have had in quite awhile. What a pleasant surprise. Highly recommended!
