Best smoked oysters I have ever had.
These oysters are as good as we have ever had. Highly recommended.

It's a total dive. It looks far better outside than in.
Despite this, the food was really good. Hand battered cod on the fish sandwich was fantastic. The tartar sauce is second to none - mind blowing delicious. The clam chowder is also really great. This is a great place to stop and get a quick bite.
The smoked food also looks super great, but i didn't have the CASH (as it's CASH ONLY) to be able to purchase and try some.
Management: modernize just a bit and you'll make more sales. A lot more sales.

Tried to eat. Had to go to an ATM as this is a cash only establishment.. they said you can sit in the corner. They dropped 3 menus and walked away. 10 minutes later we stood up and walked out. They had 2 other tables and they already had food.

DO not visit!!! Most expensive restaurant in the area (extremely unaffordable) Owner is very rude. Seemed annoyed talking to us. Garlic bread was just two hot dog buns. Milkshakes were like frozen milk and ice with no flavor.
Soup was not tasty at all. My whole party did not enjoy the food and would never return.
We all had to run to the bathroom afterwards!

The wait was well worth it for the grilled oysters with everything! We're from Oregon, & we'd come back!

One of the worst customer service experiences i've ever had!! Will not be back.
Absolutely the best oysters I’ve ever had anywhere in the world. My husband and I used to ride our motorcycles from Portland, Oregon all the way to South Bend just to have their oysters and then we would ride back. Bring cash. The cook makes his own variety of sauces and uses all three of them during the roasting process. A little spendy but well worth it.

No table service outside the restaurant (where they have tables). BLT wasn't that good. Felt like it was missing something.

I would never get anything but chowder and fish/fries here. I got the captains platter sautéed & literally everything in it was frozen/poorly prepared and in a pool of water. My daughter got a grilled chicken sandwich which seems to have been boiled/the entire bread was soggy from the water. It took over 2 hours to get both of our disgusting meals. I would never go back.

As far as oysters go...this is as good as it gets. I grew up in the Appalachicola Oyster beds in Florida. Best Oysters I have had since leaving there 35 years ago. I had the Grilled this time. Anytime I come through South Bend I will eat here. Mighty fine food...

Oysters were very fresh but almost double what they cost in down town seattle and not of a much higher quality. Expect 40$ a dozen, light service, and only cocktail sauce and lemons. Water is not free and they will tell you at the register at the end that it is CASH ONLY. Nowhere on the menu or outside. Come with cash or walk half a mile to an ATM and hope you brought a debit card.

Actually didn't get a chance to try the food, but it smelled and looked delicious. We arrived and nobody was there, but they only take cash. So we told them we'd be right back, and spent a whole 10 minutes finding a nearby ATM to get cash. When we returned, a family of 14 had arrived, and we were told it would be an hour and a half... WHAT?!
Oh well, there are other places, so despite wanting to try this place, we didn't think that was good customer service.
