My daughter and I were visiting South Bend, Washington, and visited this restaurant for a late lunch/Early dinner. We had the grilled oysters which were out of this world! I’ve never had an oyster before, and I had to try oysters at “the oyster capital Of the world!” And the owner, Manuel makes the best grilled oysters! I also had the sautéed prawns, which were delicious! We had a lovely conversation with the owner, Manuel, who was absolutely delightful. He’s owed Ar the restaurant for 24 years and takes great pride in his work there. I would highly recommend stopping by when you’re passing through South Bend, Washington.
Visiting from Portland saw that this restaurant served BBQ oysters. Had to come see. Our wonderful host was outside cooking the oysters in the shell. Opened them cooked and finished with homemade bbq sauce was simply amazing. Homemade big bowl of clam chowder that was better than any we've had. Also we had a burger have to say it was great I don't eat the bun and this meat was so well seasoned! Seriously go here. My atmosphere rating is just 3 for just maybe need a little freshen up and a little radio playing in the background. But totally irrelevant..

Stopped in as it was recommended. Guess we stopped on a bad day. Nothing was fresh off the smoker all microwaved from the freezer. Got drawn in with smoker going only to find he wasn't cooking anything due to being slow. Guess I should have walked out when he said that.

Hands down the best BBQ oysters I’ve ever had - smoked, sauced, then torched to perfection. Nice outdoor seating area, too. We always make a stop when passing through South Bend/Raymond - a nice break on the way home from Astoria. But don’t forget your bills as it’s cash only!

Absolutely delicious food! We had the Brisket Sandwich special, the fish n chips, and the clam chowder. They were all fantastic, super fresh and flavorful! The owner served us and was very friendly and welcoming, I'm happy to recommend stopping here when in the area.Parking: At least 10 spots right in front of the reataurant.
