This is my favorite teriyaki place. I have tried a few other places, but they do not measure up to delicious food at Joy Teriyaki.Vegetarian options: There are meatless options..Veggie yakisoba is delicious.
Joy is so kind and the food is delicious. Only ever done takeout here though. Fried and gyozas are really good.

The store is clean. I like the little canvas plant holders on the table. The service is good. We got the chicken teriyaki. The sauce was a little salty but it was still tasty. Overall, I would go there again.

Food was good but only 7 small pieces of teriyaki chicken on a small bed of rice and a really small salad for $15. Outrageous! And the lady taking our orders....terrible customer service. She didn't greet us and acted like she hated being there. So sad. We won't be going back!

My bubble tea had hard dry boba and huge ice chunks. My tofu teriyaki looked nothing like advertised, they barely cooked it.
Good boba but no flavor for the boba and great food I highly recommend this place!

You've got a cozy, welcoming ambience, the sweetest elderly couple around dishing up service you'd never get anywhere else, and the most filling, mouthwatering, filling, downright DELICIOUS teriyaki in the Pierce County. I had the bulgogi, a Korean dish with marinated cuts of beef, and grilled veggies, like onions and chives. The cook brings out the plate, SIZZLING hot, atop a hot skillet type dish. You'd wanna let this baby rest for a bit before digging in. Your patience will be rewarded, with tender, juicy, rich beef, balanced with the nice acidic bite of the chives and onions, served with hot and soft rice. Need I say more? I also got the BBQ pork (pictured below), which is ALMOST the same as the bulgogi, a Korean BBQ marinaded cuts of pork coming out sizzling straight from the kitchen, with rice. This pork was melt in your mouth tender, it offered a nicer acidic bite in comparison to the richness of the bulgogi, the onions and chives accentuating this flavor even more so. After a little while of enjoying our food, the couple must've been having lunch, when the lady running the place brings my family and I some slices of watermelon, FREE! The watermelon was oh so crisp and juicy. The couple running the place deserve the world and MORE. I also forgot to mention the value, you get a great amount of food for what you pay for, you'll definitely get your money's worth here. Whenever you find yourself with an appetite in the area, I cannot recommend this place enough, you will not be disappointed.
