We’ve been going to The Wagon Wheel for at least 15 years and had memorable birthday dinners, homecoming dinners, breakfasts, and drinks. Sadly, all of those great memories were ruined today when we met for Sunday brunch with our family. The large sign outside reads “Family Restaurant & Lounge”. We went in, ordered beverages, placed our food order, and were chatting when the owner came over yelling at us that it’s a bar children aren’t allowed and she had no clue who we were but that she would make an exception and serve us. She then proceeded to the bar to loudly talk badly about us to the other patrons. Obviously we left. And we would never spend another dime there.Kid-friendliness: The huge sign outside says family friendly but there is a small dirty sign taped in the window that says no minors.

This place is wonderful and the owner is super friendly and welcoming. My husband and I were looking at homes in the area and she sat with for a while to give us some insider knowledge. The food just topped off the experience. Everything is made from scratch so plan to spend some time just relaxing and shooting the breeze with the other patrons while she cooks up your order. The homemade Clam Chowder was soul warming. The iced tea was good and strong without being bitter. Portions are hearty and you definitely get your money's worth. My husband ordered the Prime Rib dip with horseradish, and it was the most explosive savory experience he's had in a long time. All of the veggies were fresh, the cheese and abundant and the rolls crust was well crisped.I had the Grinder and it awesome. Chicken bacon, cheese. And tangy Ceasar dressing. It came fresh out of the oven and my only complaint was that I ate too much Clam Chowder to get through even half the sandwich. We highly recommend this place and hope to be able to return after we make our move to WA.

I visited 3 times and kept hoping for a better experience but it never happened.Food is ok but service and attitude is horrible.Too many places to try out to keep going back hoping for a better experience.

This was an amazing find for dinner!!! We came out of MRNP looking for dinner and am so happy we stumbled across Wagon Wheel. Donna was hospitable and we took her word on what to order and she did not disappoint! We shared a bowl of clam chowder to start and got the Bacon Chicken Caesar Grinder and salad and the Mushroom Swiss Burger with fries. The portions were huge and we both had another meal leftover. If you’re thinking about stopping here… you should!
Food was good and wasn't very crowded but it did take little over 2 hour to get our order, and the friendliness wasn't very good,

This place waws amazing. Stopped for lunch after a great hiking trip after finding this place on our way home. The clam chowder honestly is the best I've had I highly recommend trying it. Everything else was perfect and the customer service is how it should be everywhere. Super friendly and welcoming and would certainly return again when I'm in the area!

Groovy little bar and grill out in the countryside of South Prairie, WA. They have a dance floor and Kaoroke on the weekend. I enjoyed a great homemade style chicken sandwich, but I'm going back to try the pizza, it looks fantastic!

I would rate this bar a 0 if I could. The Owner Donna has run this place into the ground. Poor service, long waits, and bad attitude. Donna steals tips from the bartender whenever anyone eats she takes the whole tip. While she is a pretty good cook, she uses old food and is very slow. She fired the only bartender that would work for her when she had covid. We went in to toast a friend who had passed away. We and others were told it was not happening because she had no notice. She refused the business this would have given her. She also said she didnt know who it was. He grew up in South Prairie and frequented the bar on a regular basis. Any establishment that treats a widow, and employees this way does not deserve your patronage. Our party of 18 went to Wilkeson Eagles, spent alot of money, and many ate. She has ran off most of the old regulars and now 18 more with her rudeness. It is now just an old Dive Bar with bad service.
