Giving them 5 stars because their signs. Haven’t eaten here yet. On Google it says they are open until 8pm but they close at 2. Coming back to see if the food is as good as their political views

The first thing that greets you is an obnoxious political sign. Hard pass.

Overcooked eggs and supporting a president that has raised costs across the board is odd for a restaurant owner... I guess the first letters of each word in the restaurant name truly mean something... must be the lack of education in Tacoma.

Best Milkshakes on Pacific Ave, really good prices. Been around for as long as I can remember. Always has a friendly, family, neighborhood vibe. Never a long wait. Can have really good breakfast meals all day long if u want. Family owned and cares about the community. Good place to bring the kids easy to find favorites for everyone. Definitely one of the good things about Spanaway.

I was genuinely looking forward to trying this establishment and supporting a small business—something I value and make a point to do, especially in local communities. However, upon arriving, I was immediately taken aback by the overwhelming display of political flags, specifically those supporting President Trump, which were prominently placed throughout the diner.

While I fully respect each individual’s right to their political beliefs and their freedom to express them, there is a distinction between personal expression and creating a public business environment that feels politically charged or exclusionary. A restaurant, café, or diner should ideally foster a welcoming and neutral space where all patrons—regardless of their political views—can feel comfortable and respected.

The prominent and deliberate display of partisan messaging made it clear that the business is intentionally aligning with a specific political ideology. This created an atmosphere that felt less like a community gathering place and more like a statement-driven space, which left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. It’s unfortunate, because the original intent was to support a local business, but we ultimately did not feel it was a place where all customers would be equally valued.

A more inclusive approach could ensure that your business is welcoming to everyone, regardless of background or political beliefs.
