I lived in New Orleans for years and dined all over the South. This was as good as the best meals I had there, with one exception: the red beans and rice are better than I have had anywhere else.
Expect a wait, expect it to actually have flavor, and go in ravenously hungry. I am going to make it a point to travel to Spokane in the future just for this joint.

Employees have exceptional customer service! Amazing smoked, barbecue brisket, however it was way too spicy, had to throw away.
The chicken had no flavor, it tastes like flour and grease, made me throw up! I just wasted $40 on food that I fed to my dogs. KFCs chicken has more flavor which is a shame.

I don't understand why this place is not constantly packed! The food was really good and the service was amazing. The workers here are so kind and personable. Our food was prepared quickly and it was delicious. If you're in the Spokane area visiting, I highly recommend this little place for lunch!

The crispiest juiciest fried chicken I’ve ever had!! Definitely recommend trying this place if you are in the mood for chicken! The Customer service was the best I’ve ever received at any place, they really know how to make you feel like family here! Was so excited for the food I forgot to take pictures. Visiting Spokane for the first time and so glad I stopped in for lunch. I had the two piece dark chicken meal with greens and rice and beans. Lady at the counter was very kind. All the food was great, and at a good price point. But man...the greens. It has been over a decade since I had good greens and I will be thinking about them for a while. I know it may seem weird focusing on greens, but I really miss good greens and these were delicious!
Legit BBQ! Excellent fried chicken but I'm still thinking about the BBQ sauce on the ribs! ? Staff was super friendly and helpful too!

Husband picked up an order last night, and when I tell you it was annihilated as soon as he got home, I’m not kidding. We got the rib and chicken plate combo, a brisket sandwhich, catfish sandwhich, hot dog for the kiddo (she ate more of the catfish than anything!), and some sides to go along. The greens were fantastic, and everything was seasoned SO well. If I was Keith Lee, I’d be trying to get the full effect going at this place. What a treasure in Spokane.
Awesome fried chicken. It's worth time to wait when they told you 10 to 20 minute, can't beat the crunch and juicy fried chicken and literally burn your mouth as eating it. Cat fish took little bit longer to cook but crispy and moist inside. All the dipping sauces they have were great. Everyone one work at the restaurant very nice and friendly. Definitely friendly and enjoyable little place.
