Being fairly new to Spokane and hearing that Domini Sandwiches was closing by the end of the year, I had to try their sandwiches at least once. The pastrami, cheese and bread used are very high quality. You get a huge sandwich! Their cookies are great as well. Plus, you can't beat a side of their fresh made popcorn! I have to visit a few more times. Highly recommended!

I can't even imagine life without Domini sandwiches and people. It was a favorite of my dad's 60ish years ago. He and Al knew each other thru Lilac. I moved to Alaska as a young adult for over 20 years. The rule was if you were coming to visit and you were from Spokane, you'd better be bringing Domini sandwiches. Now that we live relatively close, we stop by often. My husband stops when timing allows on his way to catch a plane. Those orange stripped bags always prompted other passengers to wish they had thought of that.
Happy retirement, Tom. You deserve it. We will miss the traditional Domini and hope the new owner doesn't mess it up! (no sprouts!)

Very good sandwiches! The menu is basic (bread, meat, cheese, condiments, no veggies). The bread, meat, and cheese are high quality and the service is fast! Also each sandwich comes with a side of popcorn that is also quite tasty. My husband and I stopped by after reading that the business was closing in December due to the owner retiring and wow we’re going to miss this place. Definitely will be eating here again before then!

Tom Domini, his family, and their amazing staff have provided great food and warm and friendly customer service for decades. Domini’s Sandwiches will be missed by the entire Inland Empire. Tom is a role model for all business owners. Class and kindness combined with great food and customer service. It’s the end of an era that makes me sad for Spokane but happy for Tom. He has undoubtedly worked hard and someone needs to make him a sandwich for a change. Good luck and God Bless, Tom.

So sad to hear we'll be losing this place. It was my late Grandpa's favorite place to eat, so we had a family get together. Nine of us were served by Coween, who is a true delight. How she can keep everything running smoothly in the dining area, I do not know! It was very crowded but she got all our orders out fast and accurately. I had roast beef and cheese on french bread. I bet there was a pound of meat. Very simple, very delicious. Again, so sad to lose this iconic Spokane eatery, but I hope they enjoy retirement! They've sure earned it.

Nice staff. Fast service. The sandwich was nothing to write home about. Also for $20 you could make a better sandwich yourself.

Growing up in Colfax and with Spokane being the "Urban" center of my Universe, Domini was the "CENTER, of the Center of my Universe"! When Disney re-released the films Bambi and Snow White in the 1960's before going to see the films at The Fox Theatre Mom and Dad took me to Domini to get a sandwich. When The Cougs had to play their "home" football games at Joe Albi Stadium in 1970 and 1971 Dad and I would load up on Domini sandwiches and take them to the games. Domini was the best part of two grim football season for The Cougs. When my High School sweetheart rejected my marriage proposal, (she worked downtown at the Federal Land Bank at the time), I drowned my sorrows with a Domini sandwich and a beer. Ham & Swiss. Only butter and mustard. That has been my order at Domini for the better part of half a century! When I did marry in 2007 my Wife-To-Be from Denver flew her entire family into Spokane so we could hold the ceremony in the Japanese Garden at Manito Park. I collected the entire crew and drove em all downtown so we could eat Domini sandwiches. Whenever I visit my Brother in Spokane I first eat my Domini sandwich. It has been the best bite of downtown Spokane and I savor every bite of my Domini Ham & Swiss...with a little popcorn and a beer. This should've been franchised 50 years ago. Domini sandwiches nationwide! I can only dream. This IS the best sandwich in the Pacific Northwest. Kevin Penrod - Omaha, Nebraska.

FYI, they’re closed into August 19th. Checked them out today for the first time. Unimpressed. Meat, cheese, bread - no veg, no grilling, etc. I can get all that at the Fred Meyer deli.
Vegetarian options: None that I see.

I got a Reuben and it’s the best sandwich I’ve ever had. They absolutely nailed the critical parts: bread, meat, and cheese. No need for fluff.
