Nice place to enjoy a meal with someone but in my opinion (from a guy) this place is far from what I would call romantic. Food is great, service is great, the bar downstairs is freaking AWESOME! Their menu is small so they serve a small variety of main dishes but they have had time to make these meals as good as they can. Their menu staff seems to be a tad overwhelmed at time but they will get to you so have patience. It’s worth it!

Have always liked Durkin’s for the interesting menu and quality of food. However, we went there last night, food was decent, but didn’t have the wow factor it used to have. One thing that o found surprising, especially for a high-end restaurant, we asked for a side of ranch and were told that it would be 50 cents extra. Really?!?? I get it if you are a small mom/pop restaurant, but to nickel and dime people at this type of restaurant is ridiculous. Will not be going back.

My son said this was a place I needed to go and he was absolutely right! I was unable to make a reservation because they were full, but they said come in, maybe they could accommodate us at the bar, and they absolutely did. We didn't wait even 5 minutes. Sat us the 2 bartenders that were amazing, explained the menu and the food. The one gentleman is a genius mixologist Curtis, he made us his drinks (65th was one and I cant remember the other) it was a grapefruit cocktail, that was the perfect balance, refreshing. This was the first dinner I had been to in a very long time, that I felt was worth every penny! I will go again and I hope Curtis is behind the bar. Thanks for a wonderful experience, I felt spoiled.

The reason for the 3 star rating is because they have a no modification policy. They refuse, nicely, any changes. Probably would not recommend.

Oh my! The burger was over the top. Comes double patty but available in single as well...no need to search for a better one. Right here. The real deal!

Burger was amazing! Nice heaping serving of fries. Only reason a 4, no A/C. It was so hot indoors and water was room temp, no ice. I would definitely go back just not in the summer.

This place is fantastic. The beer menu is extensive and majority local, with non-local craft brews from as far as Missoula and Seattle. The food is utterly perfect. Don't think, order the burger and fries. It does seem like the one room for improvement is with service. The staff are fantastic, but the service model doesn't seem to work out that well and everyone seems to be hanging on when the restaurant is full. Seems like there could be a reimagining of service to support the staff and reduce their stress. Note that if you are going during the typical dinner hour, you're going to want a reservation, hands down, even on a weekday.

The server was disrespectful and stalky. I ordered 1 regular drink and 1 NA drink. My 35 year old friend had a soda and the NA but the server kept coming around harassing my friend “you are not drinking that alcoholic drink”. She took MY drink and we sent back the NA. My drink was untouched, the NA tasted like vinegar so we sent it back. We paid for all the drinks. Server kept accusing my friend of drinking my drink. Unprofessional.

I've been to Durkin's several times over the last 5 years. I've eaten upstairs several times as well as having drinks in the downstairs bar a few times, But last night we had the worst service ever. We went downstairs for drinks only. There were 5 of us celebrating someone who had just graduated from College. We sat at a table near the bar (within earshot of the bartender) where there were 2 bartenders working. There were a few tables, maybe 8 people total in the bar. 1 gentleman sitting at the bar. We sat for about 15 minutes with no acknowledgment from either bartender. We watched one of them talk to a couple who were seated at a table, right at the end of the bar for approximately 5 minutes. Still no acknowledgment that we were there. We finally realized we HAD to step up to the bar to order our drinks. It would have been nice if they could have told us that you had to order drinks at the bar, instead of us just sitting there. We were within earshot and it was not like it was crazy busy in there. We watched them clean glasses and visit with customers. But not acknowledge new customers coming in unless you went up to the bar. I doubt I'll go back for drinks. I look elsewhere for someone who wants to wait on me.

I cannot say enough about the delicious burger I enjoyed. It was miles above any similar high-end meal. The garlic aioli was a perfect compliment to the juicy beef and gooey cheese. I sampled the späzel as well and will make a return visit just for that.
