Lack luster atttttttt best. I got the chicken fried steak with, what is allegedly a cup of soup. Veggies were canned green beans that tasted like water. The steak itself had solid crunch and flavor, the gravy tasted like flour. No pepper, sausage, body or anything. The mashed potatoes had a solid flavor as long as they weren’t tainted by the gravy. The “cup” of “tomato bisque” is just warm V8 with a spice or two thrown in there, in a side dressing Togo cup. Had legitimate hopes but won’t be venturing there again.

My family and I had lunch at Fergusons Fountain. We all enjoyed their cheeseburgers and fries. The atmosphere was quiet and we could hear each other talk. The service was quick yet fun.

Ferguson’s is a Garland Street favorite, with a 1940’s decor and the best service staff anywhere. It’s also a classic soda fountain with malts and shakes and a long counter right in front of the grill.
