Been told for the last 2 yrs this is the best Chinese in the area. I can confirm as far as food it is the most authentic and diverse Chinese menu. I got the Sichuan Snapper that was very good, I can taste nearly every ingredient especially the lemon grass. The fish was cooked very well. My wife got an eggplant dish that she was in love with and my son got the sha cha noodles. We also got the sha cha green beans. All was cooked well with lots of flavor. My issue tonight was one of the ladies serving. They have a sign in their lobby that says "Uber eats and door dash deliveries stay in lobby" well I didn't use either and as a first timer I don't know their process. So I took two steps past the threshold of the front door and the server who I can't describe and better than a light haired bigger build lady sharply said "you're gonna need to stay in the lobby, we will get to you." That was fine I replied "sorry the sign doesn't mention online orders." Then was met "well there is only two of us so you're going to need to stay out there." OK... I see you are busy that's why i thought I'd be helpful and approach. Instead feeling like a Germ. Even the gentleman waiting to be seated was like wow! The younger dark haired lady was nice and calm and asked my name. Told me they were waiting for one more item. When the food came out the first lady came and I told her I was sorry for not understanding the sign and she replied that "don't worry we will see you out here." I then said ok well it's my first time here. When I just decided to watch my mouth and let it go. I understand being busy I work in an ER. But don't burn your bridges because you might lose a customer or deal with a petty customer. Fortunately the food is good enough to give it another try. Thank you for a delicious meal.

Oh my. The service was relaxed and friendly. This is perfect for business friends to meet or for date night. Prices are reasonable and the food is amazing. I tried the seafood bowl (it was called warm your heart or something like that) and every bite was a delight. We all left satisfied and happy.

We went by reviews.
And It did not disappoint..
The food was fantastic. And full of flavor.
Our waitress was very accommodating and gave us good recommendations.
There was a dish we didn't care for and they changed it out with no extra charge.
They were very focused on our experience and tastebuds.
The whole staff were very on top of it.
Highly recommend.
Thank you!!!!

Really good Sichuan food, well flavored and generous portions. Menu’s not so overwhelming that you get lost. Bonus: good brewery/bar right next door.
Parking: If the lot’s full, there’s ample street parking.

I'm so glad we found this delicious spot to eat years ago. Their well seasoned wok cooks meals to perfection by adding that perfect smoky "Gordy's" flavor that you can't get at home. Get the Sha Cha Green Beans and Coconut Curry and you'll crave more.

The coconut curry, unfortunately, fell short of expectations. I was hoping for an authentic dish with a rich, pronounced coconut flavor. Instead, the experience was underwhelming. The broth lacked the creamy, velvety texture that is typically the hallmark of a good coconut curry.

I have been a long time supporter of this restaurant but was very disappointed recently when I saw an unusually high charge from my account that did not at all reflect what I ordered. I called and spoke with employees 4 different times and submitted an email contact form requesting a copy of the receipt and asking for help to resolve the issue. Each time I was assured that they would look into it, but after three weeks of calling, I never received a reply. I am quite disappointed I will no longer be supporting. I would have at least expected someone to follow up with me and give me a solid answer, or even admit they could not find the receipt for some reason.

Hidden little gem. Great food, owner was awesome to deal with. Very cool and inviting inside. We did take out but I will definitely eat in next time. I will be back. The Hunan beef was really tasty but very spicy so make sure you ask for mild if you can't handle the heat.

Solid but not exceptional. Flavors felt a little unbalanced and heavy on the Sichuan peppercorn. Good hot and sour soup. Acceptable stir fries.

Gordy's has been a part of Spokane's South Hill for a very long time and it continues to be my favorite Asian restaurants in the area. The staff is kind and helpful and very attentive, the food is to die for, and it's a small intimate atmosphere that really embellishes the scene of a wonderful dining experience.

Probably the most mediocre food I’ve ever had, and extremely expensive. Glass noodles used for chow mein (what??) and were definitely burnt and tasteless. Weird rushing/angsty vibe from the workers even though 90% of the tables were empty. I really don’t like to give out bad reviews but I have no choice with this one. Maybe I got unlucky with the dish I ordered but it was honestly the worst food I’ve ever had.
Update: If you read the negative reviews, the owner is unapologetic in practically all of them. He doesn’t appear to want to take accountability or the feedback to heart. He frequently says maybe his chef “had a bad night” and encourages a return trip to buy his overpriced mediocre food again. One thing I also forgot to mention in my original review is that the bathrooms are really gnarly. Do not come here.
