The food was good, however we had to waive down waitstaff to receive a knife for a dish that clearly required one. The wait for the knife was long.....busy in the restaurant so we understood, but the problem would be solved by just giving out a full set of silverware to begin with! Waitstaff attire leaves nothing to the imagination.....pretty scantily dressed, but if that's the vibe the tavern is going for?

Hostess was fantastic and very friendly and sat us promptly. The experience went down hill from there. Are waiter finally took are drink order. And returned 20min later with water and the one canned cider we ordered. We ordered an appetizer and waited another 30min for some over priced deep fried mozzarella. Are other guests showed up and we waited another 20min before the waiter came over and even acknowledged they had arrived. We quickly tried to order food as we didn't know when he would return and were trying to make a show across the street. We had to go up to the bar to finally get are card/bracelet to get drinks from the beer wall. We continued to wait for food. We had to get the waiters attention to get an ETA on food. Another 15min wait for him to come back. Food was another 10min out and we told him we had to go to are show. Long story short they comped the food and drink so we could make the show. We got there at 5:16 and left at 6:40. You could tell that other people were getting frustrated as well. The restaurant was not very busy and appeared to be well staffed. After talking to another guest they had a similar experience the previous Monday and had only ordered appetizers. No idea who manages the restaurant and staff but my guess is they would be better suited to work at a car wash. Would like to tell about the food because it did look good. Seems to be overpriced for what I would call “fancy bar food”. If your draw is a beer wall get people drinking when they get there not 30min later. I thought maybe it was just an off night but have talked to others that have had similar experiences.

Absoloutly amazing place. Im not a fan of burger or flatbread but they were both phenomenal. Drinks were great. Got 15 percent off from staying at the hotel we were at.

We stopped nin together soup. We sat at a dirty table for 25 minutes after ordering a cup of soup each. We left because while someone asked at one point if we'd been helped, and we said we were waiting for soup, no one showed up with the soup.
They had coffee on the menu but they acted like Iwas crazy for asking. I didn't get coffee either. Lol
Wait staff looked really lost, even when we watched them do circles without doing anything.

Went out for date night with the wife. The food is nothing special and they have a very limited menu. The self serve beer wall is kinda cool but not enough to come back. Service is slow and the theme of the place is kinda all over the place. The gilded unicorn is literally next to it and is a far better place to eat, save your time and go there.
Love the beer wall! I own a restaurant nearby in downtown and this place is awesome. Fresh concept. Bravo.

Great first visit to Griffin! Better than our expectations. We ordered the caesar salad, chicken curry and lemon tart dessert. All were great and fresh. Chicken curry was unexpected option and we would definitely order again. We enioyed the drink options- cocktails, wines (some French, well done) and beer wall happy hour was a bonus. Inside is very well done. Great new spot.
