Happiness Chinese Restaurant

I recently moved across the country and I’ve been hunting for months for a Chinese place that tasted like home. I had all but given up but tonight I was scrolling on DoorDash and came across this little joint and I decided to give it a try, best decision I’ve ever made. I got the crab rangoons and the beef lo mein and not only did I get HUGE portions, the taste also reminded me of home. I’m so happy to finally have my comfort cuisine to my liking, I will most definitely be getting more in the future and will be visiting with my family ASAP!

Hidden gem! Ordered through this place by accident and we had zero regrets. Huge portions, amazing fried rice, best BBQ pork Ive ever had. The most basic dishes were the best Ive tasted. Thats how you know they know what theyre doing when they get the basics right. Every single thing was tasty and flavorful. Also, its very clean on the inside of the building. Not too busy either. The real ones know this place slaps. Also easy access from the freeway!

Still one of our favorite Chinese spots in Spokane—and yes, we’re loyal. The portions are huge (leftovers for days!), and we’re addicted to the chicken lo mein (soft egg noodles, of course), crab Rangoons and the General Tso’s chicken. It’s that perfect mix of crispy, saucy, and “don’t-talk-to-me-I’m-eating” good.

Now, is the wait sometimes long? Yes. Have we learned not to order on Saturday at 6 p.m. and expect miracles? Also yes. But listen—this isn’t a drive-thru. It’s a small, family-run restaurant where everything is made fresh. Personally, I want my chicken cooked all the way through and not microwaved into sadness.

We usually get the family-style meal for two and stretch it out over a few meals, which is basically meal planning, right? Support local, eat well, and bring a snack if you’re the impatient type.

food is decent, however prices have increased on everything since COVID, don't bother placing an order for pick up cause it won't be ready by the time you get there. it's always just finishing up your order when in reality it never got started, you will wait at the counter for 20-30 minutes after you arrive for the food order you placed 45 minutes ago. will not be going back

TLDR: the most amazing customer service. Kiera is especially kind and communicative. I don't even care what the food is like (haven't actually tasted yet) but these people are beautiful and I assume their food is too!!

I had a long complicated problem with Door Dash when I tried to order here, on maybe the busiest take out day of the year, Mother's Day. I will not write it all out but basically Happiness Chinese fixed a Door Dash problem for me with kindness and patience and I will love them forever. Can't wait to eat here all the time and pay them with real money I stead of Door Dash :)

It was remodeled since my last visit looks nice and service is good but not to happy with the menu choices.
I did get pineapple chicken ir was good but cut in very thin strips that were not very meaty it was almost like eating fried skin. It would have been a much better outcome if yhe chicken was chucks and not tjin strips.

Had the combination plate, the food is so generously portioned and delicious. You could share the plate between four people, worth the price. Service is so friendly, place is clean. I am looking forward to returning to try other dishes here.
