When I went into Hidden Bagel I had the most amazing tasting, fresh and mouthwatering bagels. When I ordered, everything I received was extremely overdone. One, I could maybe get. But all? Not sure if they send the not perfects out for delivery- but the quality was nothing like in the store.

The bagels are very good. However, someone REALLY needs to work with these people to improve their service model. DO NOT go to the shop on a Sunday morning if you only need to get a couple of bagels to go. There is always a long line and when they take your order, you are given a number, just like those who have ordered sandwiches, drinks, etc. Rather than the person at the counter taking your money and turning around and placing a couple of bagels in a bag for you, you have to wait until they have processed ALL the orders before you. Today, I waited close to a half hour to get two bagels. TWO BAGELS! They weren't cut. They weren't toasted. Ridiculous!

Quaint, neighborhood bagel shop with a variety of scratch made bagels and bagel sandwiches. Vegan options including V cream cheese smear and VegFast Sammy. Absolutely delicious! Welcoming, friendly staff and atmosphere. Great price for the portion size.

Bagel breakfast sandwich was dry and salty. Hardly rdible unfortunately. I ordered extra cream cheese to ensure it was not dry but they cheaped me out with almost ZERO cream cheese even though they charged $1.50 for it. Have pics but apparently can’t upload.

I had heard the best bagels in the area are at Hidden Bagels on the South Hill and apparently I heard correctly. I know bagels seem easy to make but then again, some of the best things in life are made to look easy by masters of the art. I understand the owner went to New York to learn how to make the perfect bagel before opening this shop. Is that true? Who knows. But it makes a great story and I’m sticking to it. I wish I wasn’t so full after lunch, otherwise I would have tried the ice cream at the attached parlor. Since we didn’t, I guess I have a great excuse to go back. You should too. Truly the best for bagel sandwiches. Weekdays are best for getting the bagel of your choice but you can't go wrong with just about any combination. Favorite orders here are the Lox sandwich, and any of the grinders (BLT, Turkey, or regular). Plenty of outside seating on a nice day but a great dine-out option if you live nearby.
Bagels are way too hard and we have to use gorilla strength to rip a bite off. Ingredients are “fresh” but for such an expensive price I could buy the same fresh ingredients for the same price and make it last for over a week.
