I picked the Italian Kitchen restaurant for my birthday dinner last night and it exceeded all expectations. The food was very delicious. We started with the meatballs, which we knew immediately we wanted to try. I then had the lasagna and my fiancé chose the spicy gnocchi. We couldn’t finish our meals as the portion sizes were equally balanced for the prices, but we had to bring our leftovers home as it was too good to leave behind.
Our waiter Brian was very polite and you could tell he was happy to be there as he joked with us and provided excellent service and wine suggestions, always speaking with pride about the food the restaurant provided. When we couldn’t find the room for more, he brought out a complimentary birthday dessert to end our meal.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was just lovely. It provided the family and culture vibes as well as a sweet romance feel for our date. We will most definitely be celebrating more at this beautiful eatery.

We visited Italian Kitchen Restaurant for the first time for a date night and it exceeded all of our expectations! From the moment we walked in, the cozy and welcoming atmosphere set the tone for a perfect evening.

The service was outstanding—our server was attentive, and gave us some great recommendations. Every dish we tried was absolutely delicious. The calamari was easily the star appetizer, perfectly crispy and flavorful—10/10. The warm bread served with oil and vinegar was such a nostalgic touch, instantly bringing back memories of my grandma’s kitchen.

For our main course, the pasta dishes were cooked to perfection—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can really tell the ingredients are high quality and prepared with care. We finished the meal with the Godfather dessert, which was rich, decadent, and the perfect sweet ending.

This place is an absolute gem! We can’t wait to come back and try more from the menu. Highly recommend for date nights, family dinners, or any occasion where you want authentic Italian food in a warm and welcoming setting.

Our foursome loved the decor and the service. However the food was simply not good. 3 of the 4 were very disappointed. The $52 steak Marsala was almost too tough to cut. The Marsala was too strong. An order of clams were smothered in tomato sauce and were very small. It was basically a bowl of shells in red sauce. Word must be out because on a beautiful summer evening, this beautiful space was less than half full.

Overall, this is the best spot in the Spokane area for Italian food. Tomato Street comes close, but Italian Kitchen wins in numerous areas, particularly when it comes to the tiramisu. Also very worth mentioning—Brian does a fantastic job with customers, and is incredibly polite. We will absolutely be back for more, and had no idea this spot was so well-established!

So good! Reminded me of a restaurant in Rome. I have the linguine with prawns. The mushrooms and artichokes in it made it taste so light and fresh. The bread was warm and they have olive oil and balsamic on the table which added to the charm. Michael was our server and he was attentive without being overbearing. If you are in Spokane I highly suggest the Italian Kitchen!

I absolutely love this place! My personal favorite dishes here are the baked lasagna and the Spicy Sausage Gnocchi. The house made meatballs and fried mozzarella are my favorite appetizers to get as well. I feel so lucky I get to live above this place and I always try to come in at least a couple times a month. Service has always been friendly and the environment is amazing as well i love the team and atmosphere here every time i come in to eat.

Seems like a nice restaurant. Why can’t they have good food? Price is high, food is so-so. Because if the food quality the experience is underwhelming. The atmosphere is good. The service was good. Having six people eat dinner at the booth was nice, Not very many people in the restaurant. The food is so-so, especially for how much it costs and how nice the restaurant seems. I suggest ordering simple meals and you might be happy with it. I had marsala chicken that didn’t taste anything like marsala chicken and more like a gorgonzola chicken with cheap vegetables which were zucchini and carrots with too much pepper and flavoring on them. My Italian soda cost $15 without alcohol. Shouldn’t it cost $7.

My daughter got the pasta plate with half marinara and half Alfredo and it was good — might’ve been the best thing at our table. My wife’s chicken Parmesan was good with the cheap vegetables are cheap, zucchini, carrots, with too much salt and pepper and flavoring on them. The stuffed mushrooms taste like sausage. Calamari was probably the worst calamari I’ve had in years. The mozzarella sticks are average. The bread was average, the oil and balsamic vinegar decent/average with no extra flavors. The salad was okay/Normal. The Italian Dressing is better than some. My daughter also got ranch on her salad, which is maybe a bacon ranch, basically tasted like a burnt ranch. The gnocchi that somebody got was OK, just extremely rich and creamy in flavor. My friend liked the seafood fettuccine. His wife’s pasta tasted like hamburger helper.

I went once 15 years ago and was underwhelmed then by the food where you would think it is good — and it held the same today. Can’t believe they are in business.

They must have a good wine selection. Maybe you have to drink alcohol to appreciate the flavors.

We came to this unique and charming place as a family because it was within walking distance to FICA. I thought I lost my keys at dinner and the owner spoke with each of his staff who were there and then combed the restaurant top to bottom in order to help us. It’s rare to find such an attentive place like this. Waitstaff, especially Callie, was outstanding. So sharp and personable. Even our daughter said she is the best. Then I found the keys. The fact that he would work so hard to keep looking says a lot about the owner. I am so sorry for his trouble.
