We tried Kismet last night for the first time. This a very cute place on the inside that also is super casual and no frills despite the menu. Our server was really kind, and she mixed up a beer order but caught it and fixed it immediately, which we appreciated. The ceviche was delicious, as was the short rib. My main, the paella, was unfortunately a disaster. The entire thing tasted like someone accidentally dumped a container of salt on it. This wasn't mildly salty... It was like eating water from the ocean. While it was still edible, it was disappointing given it was one of the higher end menu items, and its appearance was very nice. Not sure if I'll go back and risk another overly salty dish. Hopefully this can get corrected so others don't run into the same issue.

I can’t adequately express how savory, multi-layered and exquisite our food was. We started with white linen-Rita’s and ordered the octopus, Arepes, and duck confit. I thought I didn’t like molè, but I learned tonight that I’ve only had inferior molè. Kismet is 10-fold better than anything downtown.

Our family ( party of 7) had an absolutely fantastic experience at Kismet! The service was amazing, ambience was perfect and the food was DELICIOUS. Best Ceviche I have ever had, hands down. We each chose a different entre and it was so hard to choose my favorites. The cod and paella were to die for.
THIS IS A MUST VISIT. We will be back. Probably once a month

Food we ordered for 2 adults:
Tacos Whettos
Grilled Queso
Pork Cheek Pasta
House margarita
This place is an absolute gem. I have lived about 2 hours north of Spokane for the past 5 years but I try to eat somewhere new every time I come into the city. I will be coming back to Kismet.
The portions may seem small, but this is a REAL restaurant with a chef-made menu. The serving size is meant for you to be able to have an appetizer and entree without feeling like you're going to pop. You will still leave satisfied.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at Kismet. From the moment we walked in, the service was warm and friendly, making us feel right at home. We ordered nearly all of the appetizers, and every single dish was a hit—creative, flavorful, and clearly made with care. There were 4 of us, to give you a sense of ordering levels.
We left each dish needing a vessel to finish the remaining sauces, they were that good. A spoon will suffice, for real.
If pressed to pick only two, I would recommend the corn (Elote) and the Grilled Queso. And the drinks were all tasty, too.
Enjoy!

If you enjoy authentic Latin-inspired food with a bit of fine dining flair in a comfortable, casual setting, this is the place. There's a lot of heart and soul you can truly taste in the food, it's so good! The owners are terrific; friendly, thoughtful. Overall, Kismet is a true joy to experience. A place not to be missed.

The food was Amazing! Service was great as well! I went with a friend who doesn’t like cilantro and the Chef was happy to suggest and adapt some of the menu items for us. Highly recommended!

I have travelled the world as an international chef, gathering recipes & cooking along side stellar chefs and without a doubt this was/is the most delicious Spanish food I have ever tasted. We ordered almost everything off the menu and each dish was perfection. The restaurant itself is small & in a funky up and coming part of town and well worth the visit. 5 Stars + more if I could.
Congratulations to this husband & wife team
