I don’t understand how this place isn’t packed at all times. Fantastic food! Small restaurant so you won’t get cramped by a huge crowd. The food though! Obviously extremely fresh ingredients. Only down side is I live south of Seattle. If y’all can open one by me that would be great!

This place rules, it’s one of the best restaurants in Spokane. The short ribs are amazing and we so is the paella.

Best meal I’ve had in ages! I came with a group of 6 and we were all perfectly accommodated. We started with elote (WOW) and smash fried potatoes. For entres my partner and I shared the short ribs and duck confit. It was hard to choose which I liked more, they were both fabulous. All of the sauces and sides were perfection. The chef has curated such a lovely menu and I can’t wait to come back and try everything else! We left so full and happy!

The Cod dish we ate was simply incredible. Cooked to perfection, beautiful dish - bright, acidic, surprising! We loved itWe also had a gorgeous beet salad, arepas cakes(good but a bit salty) and the prawn palella. Friendly service in a casual environment with very unique and well done food. My wish- better red wine choices highly recommend having a meal at Kismet

Good idea to call ahead and make reservation, seating very limited. Food is artistic emphasizing South American flavorings. Bocalo (codfish) perfectly cooked on bed of marinated vegetables. Arepa cakes and black bean empanada delicious. Chef uses ample salt, but not overpowering. Kismet is a diamond-level restaurant and reflects Hillyard’s burgeoning food-art-culture scene.Parking: Parking on both sides of street and around block.

Food was so delicious, presentation perfect, and service is amazing! Husband said "didn't think I would eat swordfish in Hillyard". Fine food and reasonably priced. Definitely coming back! Hillyard born and raised!!!!Dietary restrictions: Accommodating.

We went to Kismet during Spokane's Restaurant Week. There are about 12 tables, so seating for maybe 50 people (if you really like each other). Packed house that night, our waiter was not overwhelmed. You can smell the kitchen coming through the door. That was a wonderful preview. For Restaurant Week there's a set menu and each plate was delicious. I was particularly fond of the stuffed Anaheim Pepper, and the Short Ribs. The Tres Leches Cake was great. It was sweet and moist without being soggy and a ticket to a diabetic coma.

OH MY GOSH!!!! You guys!!!!Come here. Do it. I promise you, if you love good food YOU WILL LOVE THIS PLACE!!My boss took the office here for lunch and it was amazing. It was during restaurant week so they had a limited menu but I don’t even care. Between the 4 of us we ordered everything on the menu and everyone loved theirs! You can tell the food is made with such thought and passion.I got:Stuffed pepper for a starter -UH-MAY-ZINGBraised short rib for entree- Out of this world. So rich and it made my tastebuds dance. Then the Mexican bread pudding for dessert- WHEW what a way to end my meal. I am not even a fan of coconut and their whipped cream has a slight coconut taste but it was wonderful.Anyways. Just stop reading my review, get in your car and come eat here for yourself. You won’t regret it.

We visited Kismet during lunch time. They were not very busy during this time with only about 1/3 of the tables occupied. Our waitress took a very long time to check in on us and when she finally did my friend ordered a negroni and upon learning he had not had a negroni prior the waitress stated "you want to order something else" I asked for clarification as to how she knew my friend wouldn't like it and she said "it's our most returned drink." in a very short clipped tone of voice. The food was wonderful, it came out quickly and hot and this was truly the saving grace to my review because with waitstaff like that you'd have to have some really good food to balance her attitude out.During our stay a group came in and sat down but waited so long to be greeted that they ended up leaving.

Food was amazing. Highly recommend. Tall tables were not a great fit for someone else 5' 4". Try to get one of the lower tables, if you can.
