The coffee was really the best part, it was expensive, but I understood once i tasted the coffee. However, the food was a major mistep. I had the avacado toast, it had no functionality just everything slopped on top, the chili powded was sprinkled on top of the egg so everything under had no flavor, including the pickled onions. The greans were way to stemmy and sloppy wet. It was 17 for the toast including the egg, very overpriced considering the coffee is the premium thing being sold here, not their food. The waffle was also around 7 dollars and it is the size of your palm, nd it comes with one waffle. It was also a slap in the face to have to do your own dishes when the lowest recomendation for a tip is 7%?? As somebody who has done nothing but service work I would never expect that from a customer who had to do even a little work themselves, on top of the price you pay for the products.

I know decent coffee is getting increasingly hard to find, but at what point do I start taking out a mortgage to pay for one? $7 for a 12oz latte... you heard that right. When I can buy a POUND of amazing local roasted coffee for $20. This is completely unreasonable and I don't recommend coming here, unless you're blessed enough to not care about money.

This coffee is more expensive than specialty coffee in Southern California. If you are planning to tip $1 expect to pay for a $9 12-oz plain latte. Now, I could let that slide if the coffee tasted like a $9 espresso pull. However, 60% of the time I get coffee here, it is extremely under or over extracted. The milk is often extremely to hot for the drink I get (often a cortado or 12oz latte) and often has too much foam. These are all things that I would not care about if I weren't paying NINE DOLLARS latte. The final straw for me, however, is the 20-minute wait time if there are more than 15 people in the building. Indaba down the street is consistently packed, and I get a better and cheaper cup of coffee in a quarter of the time. And the owner is creepy.

I finally went into a Ladder Coffee it was very good. I was so surprised because I first went to their website which was a horrible representation!! It was all faded out and blurred but took a chance glad I did it was great. I give 4 stars because of their faded out website.

I’m sorry, but $7.50 for a small latte with no flavors? That’s unreasonable. The coffee is good but not mind blowing enough to charge nearly $10 with tip for a small drink.

great atmosphere, super sweet blonde employee (shoutout), but they were out of all of their teas? in the winter? I know I shouldn't expect to find tea in a coffee shop as a non-coffee drinker, but it was a little disappointing.
