Five stars does not feel like enough. Derek at Latah Bistro is the kind of server who makes you forget you are in a restaurant and not just having the best possible dinner with a friend who happens to know everything about the menu. He reads the table perfectly. He knows when to joke, when to disappear, and when to show up exactly as your cocktail hits half empty.
We had the Osso Buco, which was rich and comforting. The mushroom ravioli was indulgent and felt like it was made for people who really love food. The Pig and Fig flatbread is still living rent free in my head.
But honestly, Derek is the secret sauce. He cares in a way that cannot be trained. You feel looked after without feeling hovered over. It is rare and it matters. If you get Derek, you are lucky. If you do not, ask for him next time. Trust me.

Great menu, great live music. Especially music on Wednesdays ( currently December 2025..). The pizzas and salads are excellent. Moody, dark atmosphere and perfect size restaurant make for a cozy date night, or girls night out !

I haven't been to Latah Bistro in over a decade and I'm sad I keep forgetting about this place. It didn't disappoint - great late Sunday dinner with excellent attentive service. Will be adding this back to the normal rotation!

My husband & I went there and the menu was very small! we got a meatball sandwich & a club sandwich (basically a dry turkey sandwich) they only come with salad (very bla)
We ordered 2 drinks each they were the best part, BETTER BE FOR $60.00.
All together our bill was 130.00 😬 it wasn't anything better than you would make at home FOR WAY CHEAPER! On line the place look fantastic so it was a disappointment. we barely got service cause they are to busy cleaning silverware & doing store opening stuff
( there was only one other table there) we didnt get our sandwiches for 40 min.

First time we went it was great. Thought we found a new regular spot 2nd time was off. Thought maybe they just had a bad night. 3rd time was a strike out for us. We ordered same thing all three times. It successively came out worse each time. So weird. We figured maybe they had a chef leave or something. Just didn't make sense. Not going back any time soon.

This is our go-to for anniversaries or other big occasions. We only eat outside during the summer - and this patio is the best. A surprising and gorgeous view of the moon over the High Drive hills.
Service is perfect- no rushing. Loved the asparagus salad and they added chicken for me! We are gluten-free - and their crusts are yummy too.

I've never felt so unwelcome in a restaurant in my life. The atmosphere was not friendly; even when the hostess? Waitress? gave me water while I waited, my 'thank you' was greeted with a grunt. Then they proceeded to ignore me, even after my friend arrived. We didn't even bother ordering. I spent my hard earned money some place I was actually welcomed.

The perfect neighborhood bar that doesn't bring in the downtown rascals. Got a great vibe with chill clientele. The bartender Derek is also super easy on the eyes....highly recommend.

What a gem! My first time at Latah Bistro. It was phenomenal. Outstanding food, very professional wait-staff, and cool atmosphere without being self-conscious about it.
One of our friends who was with us, owned restaurants in California and Seattle and she said it was the best food that she’s had in a restaurant in many many years.
I had the risotto and halibut special, I did not want to put my fork down.
We can’t wait to come back here again!

Mother’s Day, limited menu, food Ok, nothing I would rave about. Prices high…biscuits and gravy $17. I had the hot brown, open face turkey sandwich…mornay sauce very bland, a bit grainy like milk and flour not blended well. Fortunately I had on the side. Sandwich just OK. Two had biscuits and gravy and thought is was very good. Would not go back for a brunch. The standard menu looks good. Not really kid friendly either. Service seemed very slow considering the number of staff and not that busy.. Our order sat under the heat lamp too long. Reservations were for 12:30 pm.

We came in with our toddler this evening. He was a little fussy after we were sat so we were going to leave but our server, David ensured us that it wasn’t a problem and brought crayons to the table. He was very knowledgeable with the menu and attentive to our needs. The food was great and dessert (lemon lavender tiramisu) was incredible! It was our first time and we will be back ! Thanks again for the incredible service David!
