Super bummed because the first time this restaurant was a 5 star, absolutely amazing. Tonight the brisket was legit rock hard. I couldn’t cut through half of it even with a knife. But I’m going to even out the rating and say 3.5 because the first time I went it was amazing but the food tonight was pretty awful. The servers are amazing, the atmosphere is awesome. I’ll go back soon and update if it’s different because I want to love this place like everyone else.

Spokane’s Hillyard historic business district has a food-legend rooted in Texas bbq, cultured ancient grains, craft beer, and quality coffee. Side dishes like slaw are refreshing and complement the smoked meats. The smoked-turkey will surprise and delight your taste buds. Brioche-style bun for sandwiches adds to the orchestra of flavors and textures reinforcing that Locos is crazy delicious.

We took the family to the United Building today to check out the shops for the first time. We had lunch at Locos & were happy with everything we got! We ordered the Hillyard burger, the pulled pork sandwich, a side of their beans & one of coleslaw, two kids chicken strip meals, & a kids cheeseburger meal. They don't have a kids menu but make kid friendly meals on demand. The portion sizes were generous, everything tasted good, & the guy who took our order & served us brought out lots of sauce options for us to try, from a yummy dill-heavy ranch to a spicy house version of red hot sauce. The vibe at Locos & with all the other proprietors at the various shops was chill but authentically friendly. We ordered coffee at Derailer & did a quick visit upstairs to Pigasus to find a few vintage toy & baby clothing treasures. Everyone we interacted with was pleasant & overall we had a great experience. We don't live close so we can't visit frequently, but I wish we had a great community spot like this in our neighborhood. Definitely visit Locos & the other cool shops in the United Building!

Surprisingly great BBQ, with a decidedly Texas feel (as advertised). Paired with a Bellwether brew and you can't go wrong.Dietary restrictions: There were gluten free options. Not extensive, but definitely possible to eat a delicious dinner.Parking: Street parking, it's free and we've never had trouble parking, but could see it getting limited.Kid-friendliness: Super kid friendly!! Great food, Bellwether hat kombucha, there's a toy shop upstairs, and everyone there seems to love kids.

Really good beer. Good happy hour. Check the website for the daily special. Service was with a smile, and while you order at the counter, they came by several times to check-in. It seems like there are two places sharing a space: Locos and another that just serves beer. So, lots of beer choices. We got there unlisted happy hour special: full rack of ribs for $25. Full of flavor. Not so tender. But, $25 for a rack of ribs seems like a steal. Also got a pulled pork sandwich which was pretty good Seems like a great place to go for a beer and a sandwich with some friends. Look for me on Friday getting the dyno-rib.

Placed a to go order last week because my S.O. and I wanted to be lazy butts at home, and the food was delicious! We shared the chicken wings which are smoked with a dry rub season, so good, tender inside and nice flavor. The clam chowder was a little sweet IMO but still good and had nice chunks of clams in it. The cowboy beans, soooooo good wow. Jalapeños in there which I loved, may be a touch spicey for those who are sensitive. The Dino rib was so delicious and tender, seasoning on point with some crispy parts to it as well. Lastly the El Loco burger was GIANT and soooo good!!! The customer service, while brief, was friendly. Will be back for sure.

Food is above average but quite pricey. I do think it is ridiculous to charge $1.50 for a flimsy, paper to-go box.

After seeing 63 5 star reviews, I thought either this place hired 60+ people or knew 60+ willing to review but I was horribly wrong. This place deserves 5 stars. Got the brisket sandwich with fries, wife got the pulled pork. Both were excellent. The baked beans were not what I expected, but became an every order kind of food, they're a must.6/5 wild...
