Didn’t realize until we arrived that this is just the old Bulldog Tavern. Should have kept the original name being in the U district. Service was good. Food was all right but we’ve definitely had better. Overall, it was ok a deserving 3 stars. A bit over rated on google in our opinion.

We have been here many times and usually it’s good. Tonight was not. The bartender that we gave our food order to was very distracted. When our food had not showed up 45 min later we asked, was our order lost? He said he couldn’t find it. He went to the kitchen so and came back and said they are “boxing it up”. We thought this was weird. So a bit later he brings out our food boxed up to go. We said we didn’t want it to go, we starving and wanted to it it here.

Went for dinner last night, the service was great, everything was yummy, and it felt quite lively in there. Food was delicious! The only reason I knocked off a star is because I eat a vegetarian diet and wasn’t super happy paying the same amount for a grilled cheese (had to take bacon off and pay for an egg on it) as a hamburger. Since it’s a tavern I’d expect those nice big portions with tavern prices. Beyond that though it’s a great spot to hang out.

Very disappointed with our experience here. We are from out of state on a road trip and went out of our way to come here due to the reviews. My partner and I waited well over and hour for a food. The order got misplaced for some reason.
After asking the bartender about this he attempted to make it right and followed with empty offers. I realize he is alone but it is a Friday night. Very disappointed overall

We were excited to try it out based on all the reviews we read. The atmosphere was super laid back. The bartender/waitress was friendly and quick with our drinks, getting our order, all of it. The food was the biggest disappointment. I got the crispy chicken sandwich with the Cajun butter and garlic fries. The fries were pretty good. The sandwich’s breading was slimy (the best way I can describe it) and the chicken was pretty bland. The Cajun butter was on the sandwich but I couldn’t taste it at all. My friend got a cheeseburger with fries and said the burger was really dry but fries were good. Disappointing overall.

I dont usually write reviews but I have to say the food was not good. Maybe an off day. Black and blue burger was so overdone it was a hockey puck. Pulled pork tacos were dry and had no flavor. Nachos cheese topping was gritty and they were cold when they came out. Our server was super nice and she felt bad. She did offer to comp but wouldn't let her. Hopefully just an off day.

Delicious both times we've been in. I love the crispy buttermilk chicken sandwich, Nashville hot chicken style, as well as the Logan Fries. My wife has tried their tavern burger and club sandwich and was also quite happy. Service is excellent. Highly recommended!
To the owner, please bring in Pepsi Zero! Tastes so much better than diet.
