I asked for a dairy free burrito, paid extra for guacamole. Got a cheese filled burrito. No guac in sight. Tastes fine but now I'll be sick for days from the cheese.

Food was great in appearance, flavor, and authenticity. The service was great and fast and friendly! It wasn't super busy as my son and I came in a little after lunch. The only thing was price and portion size for those just running in to get a bite to eat. The street tacos are small, one bite and gone for about 3 bucks. In all I give this place an 8/10. Food taste, service, and the authentic taste brought back memories of eating at food stalls in Mexico, including the chatter in the kitchen 🤣. People would come in more if the prices would be a little lower. I would still go and enjoy the food and plan on getting friends to go. About $70 for 2 Ramen Birria, 4 Carnitas tacos, a beer, chips and salsa for my son and I with a 15% tip.

I am slowly working my way through trying all the Mexican food in Spokane and this place had a pretty good burrito. Not the best I've ever had but I preferred it over California Mexican food and atlianos.

I have eaten there before and usually stick to tacos or enchiladas. Today, I ordered their Posole. Usually, I don’t have it with this much oregano and never had it served with lettuce. It becomes very soggy in the soup. Typically, it is served with shredded cabbage. I was a bit shocked. I was expecting it to be so much more. I wouldn’t order it again especially since it’s 20.00.

Felt it was a bit pricey for the quality. Just good. Not great like i was expecting with 4.8 stars. I got a carne asada plate for $27 and there wasn't any color on it. Not much flavor on the meat. I will say their guac is amazing. Servers were great though.

Food was AMAZING! We had a shredded beef burrito (it was HUGE) and the birria street tacos! Soooo good! Definitely authentic food! We will definitely be back. Food and service 10/10!

My husband and I went there for the first time on Saturday night. The food was delicious and authentic. The service was top notch. Best food on the North Side. Can’t wait to eat there again.

We had the strangest experience at this place. (I did give it two stars because the chips and salsa were great)...
Our first time here, we sit down and a young man tends to us immediately with chips and salsa and takes our order. Then he disappears and we never saw him again!! About every 10 minutes, one of two young men serving the front who were probably somewhere between the ages of 13 and 17, would run around the place all confused and like they weren't sure what they were supposed to be doing. They would run across the place with handfuls of water and then run back and then disappear for 10 minutes at a time. Customers had to constantly flag them over to remove plates from the previous customer or to ask for some chips. We saw lots of people sitting at tables with dirty plates and glasses from the previous customers that were never tended to.
On three separate occurrences, we saw a young man come out with plates full of food, run around in circles or figure eights trying to figure out where the plates were supposed to go, got flustered and would just go in back with all the food again, set them down and then come out to fill some water glasses and never bring the food out again to their proper tables.. I watch a total of seven different meals get brought out to the customers and then brought back to the back room and never come out again.
We were there for an hour and 20 minutes and never saw our food. There were actually two other tables of customers that were there before us that still hadn't gotten their food either. We finally got up and put $10 on the counter for the beer we had and said we can't wait anymore.
As we left, the other customers who were waiting for their food looked at us and shrugged their shoulders and shook their heads in disappointment too. We looked around and half the place was just sitting there with no food on their tables.
Not a single employee came out to let us know where the food was or how much longer it would be. There was no management out there and no one who looked like they were in charge. I actually counted about seven different heads in the kitchen when I peeked around so it wasn't like there was a lack of workers there.
I just don't understand how this place is still in business. I understand the food might be great and I really wish I could experience that, But I don't wait an hour and 20 minutes for lunch on a Sunday afternoon no matter how good the food is.
We left and went to another Mexican restaurant and were served within 10 minutes And the food was great. We will go there from now on. We actually ran into two people that were at Los habaneros when we were and they smiled and said that they walked out too.
Someday maybe when they get their act together I'll try them again. But this was just ridiculous. I've never seen such worthless service in my entire life.
They need to actually hire a staff that knows how to manage the front of a restaurant. The two people doing all the workout front looked like kids in middle school. I kind of felt bad for them because they clearly had no clue what they were doing and apparently there was a lot of pressure on them.

I love this place so much. Not the usual giant soupy platter buried under cheese, but delicious fresh street food. Also hand-made corn gorditas to die for. If you like Arepas, you should try these. Fish tacos *chefs kiss*. I just wish they weren't so far from my house, but worth. It.

Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options abound- corn tortillas, and they're happy to grill the fish unbattered.
