The Park Bench Cafe, located inside Manito Park, offers food, coffee drinks, and ice cream. The view is lovely and some days they even have live music. I ordered the avocado toast. It was reasonably priced at a little over $8. It has avocado, feta, and a balsamic glaze. Yum.

I can tell the food quality really depends on the staff. Last weekend in July, I went there in the morning, and the two girls working were awesome. I ordered a veggie panini, and it tasted so fresh and delicious ( second picture) .
Today, August 9, I went in the afternoon and ordered the same veggie panini (see first picture). The food was cold and unappetizing—just filled with olives and hummus. The staff seemed busy chatting and served cold bread instead of grilling it. I requested to grill it again .

A hidden treasure. The staff were friendly and polite. The food was yummy - hit the spot after a long walk thru Manito. They even gave our puppers a treat too. Seating was relaxing and shaded. A bucket list item for Spokane.

We went to the Park Bench Cafe where there is live music from 6-8 on Friday night. It was fun listening to the music and chatting. Then we walked to the Rose Garden and Duncan Gardens which were both beautiful. The weather was especially nice and pleasant!

pretty decent sandwich, but it's definitely pricey and has limited options.
Really love the location and the panini was great and came out quick!
We love this place and make it a must when we visit Manito Park during the summer months. Menu usually has something for everyone and is decent priced. Also love that it is in the middle of the park, so the scenery is gorgeous as you sit to eat what you ordered.
Wonderful place to sit outside and have a picnic lunch.

The price increase at the Park Bench in Manito is so way out of line. $6.00 for one small scoop of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream is ridiculous. I noticed a mother one morning with two small children placing an order for two scoops of ice cream ? to share and one little girl was upset because she wanted her own, which is understandable when your a small child and don’t realize the cost of a treat.
If you’re going to charge $9.00 for a mediocre sandwich, at least include a small bag of chips, for which you buy by the case at Costco.
This is such a lovely setting to have a beverage, or a breakfast/lunch, but the frequency is limited by the over inflated prices, which is truly disappointing, in addition to wanting a tip at 18, 20 & 25%!

Wanted to try something new, ended up with a Huckleberry Italian Soda. It was awesome and so were the employees who recommended it!

The setting is ideal. The prices for any item on the menu are outrageous.
