I dined at Nordstrom Cafe while in Spokane on a business trip. It was lunch time, but since it was a weekday, the restaurant was pretty empty. But I liked the space, it was very clean and spacious.I ordered Wild Salmon W/ Roasted Vegetables & Saffron Couscous and asked hot water w slice of lemon. The couscous salad was a little sweet for me, but the combination with the sockeye salmon was good. I would like to stop by here next time I come to Spokane.
I worked here off and on from roughly 2013-2017. Awesome food, clean kitchen, high quality ingredients. High turnover in restaurant management. Lots of employees come in to get free water and sit on their break, which was annoying. The cafe supplies the espresso bar with most of their fresh foods. Nordstrom’s pay was absolutely horrible.
The service is unconventional but I love it. It makes the process quick and easy so I can relax at my table. The food is rich and delicious. Servers are on point, I'm really glad I gave this small Cafe a shot. The only downside is they only serve coffee not espresso. I could really see this little market Cafe becoming extremely popular with that addition. It's also very difficult to find, you wouldn't expect it to be IN Nordstrom but it is on 3rd floor.
