Witnessed a weird guy out in the drive-thru walking around and taking pictures of the building. Kinda creepy and entertaining at the same time. Was a normal McDonald's drive-thru experience otherwise.

There's actually a lot right about this location. They nicely separate their drive-thru and lobby hours here on Google. The staff are friendly and would rather cheat the store than you. The building looks new and pretty. Though the tables needed to be wiped down, there was nothing visually disturbing as far as mess.
However, the location in Spokane is clearly not the best, with lots of homeless people around, which causes subsequent problems for the customer beyond that issue itself. There is nothing you can get for yourself in the lobby except maybe napkins despite an area to do so. Worst of all, just minutes after we ordered an eat-in order, we were told we had to leave because the lobby was closing. I can understand this for practical reasons because of the location, but from a customer's point of view this is unreasonable, as a restaurant is specifically a place to get food AND eat it. At the very least, we should have been informed before we ordered, which we were not. This problem was exacerbated by the fact that they had run out of all pies and had to give me a refund for the last 5 minutes that they were opened. When I complained to the worker about why they had not bothered to bake any, he noted that the lobby was about to close, but having worked at a McDonald's for 5 years, I can't help but wonder about the fact that their drive through was still opened - don't they sell pies to the drive-thru?
Perhaps another part of the problem is that this is a smaller, more out-of-the-way location, so maybe more lightly staffed than what I was used to as a worker. The staff that was there was indeed hustling to keep up, and yet seemed to just barely be able to meet the essential needs.
I can't say I would give up on this location, but next time we might drive 5 minutes in the wrong direction to see if they are better able to meet our needs there.
To the workers: You look to be doing your best. If you are, don't take it personal, but there are obstacles at your location that are indeed a problem for us your customers.

Stopped to get breakfast sandwiches for myself and my elderly mom this morning. We drove 1.5 hours to get to the hospital for some testing and she could not eat or drink. Get to the window and my mom is putting her cigarette out and the lady inside at the counter is screaming at my mom to put it out all the way out. And then she came and slammed the window shut!
When she brought out food I told her she did not need to be that rude and she started screaming at me that yes she did!
My mom is 75 and already dieing from her bad habit, she won’t quit now and the m/w drive thru girl won’t be able to make her!

This is the worst one in Spokane. The managers don’t give a shit about anything they are all hella rude. I’m always waiting 15-20 mins for a order. Then when I get it they basically throw it at you.

I usually don't comment, but I needed to this time. Lady who worked here won't let my kid use the restroom until I finish completing my order. Ok. I get it. Got my order in, then she let's him use it. After we finished eating she told me kids he can't use it again. He only wanted to wash his hands. This is crap service. I know Spokane is much friendlier than this.
