Really great place in Spokane for a special meal! Many vegan options

An absolute gem of a restaurant and perfectly cooked food. Had an awesome pork tenderloin with creme brulee and my partner had the steak and potatoes with pear and coconut ice cream. Well worth it for the flavors. They offer two menus, one regular and one vegetarian. Patron clothing varied from casual to formal, so dress up only if you need to. The noise level was loud to quiet depending on how many people were in there. Overall, I would come back.

We fortunately found this gem for a Sunday evening dinner after getting into town late. Had the amazing burrata, and fantastic scallops and vegetarian risotto. Lovely service not rushing us out at close.

Downtown Spokane, a few minutes walk from the Historic Davenport Hotel, is the Mizuna. From the outside it can hardly be recognized as a restaurant. We really liked the guest room, with old brickwork and wooden floors, but it was quite loud. Since we had reserved for 7:00 p.m., a few guests were soon leaving and it became noticeably quieter.
There were two menus, one with vegetarian dishes and one for omnivores, which could be mixed up as desired.
Our waitress was very friendly and attentive and ensured a pleasantly leisurely meal sequence. The individual plates were beautifully presented and we really enjoyed the food. We can fully recommend the Mizuna Restaurant.

I had for Dinner a tasty soup of red beans and pork, closing with an handmade dessert: a roasted pear with coconut. Really appreciated both of them. The staff was welcoming and ready to explain the restaurant offer

Steam clams and ginger jalapeño crab cake are very good, NY steak is a bit salty.

What a great restaurant. We started with the steamed clams which were cooked beautifully and were very tasty. That led me to order their crab cakes.

The crab cakes are interesting with a jalapeno kick. They serve them with what tastes like a mustard sauce. The flavors were well balanced and a bit addicting.

The New York Strip steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare, was tender, and had no gristle. The marsala sauce is most tasted in the mushrooms and, again, is nicely balanced. The gorgonzola mashed potatoes were very tasty and I am not really a fan of blue cheese. I finished them.

The scallops were very nicely seared with a delicious chutney and a very delicate risotto. Each grain of rice could be felt and was soft.

My wife ordered a couple martinis. They were well balanced and quite different from one another.

The service was outstanding.

This was the best meal of my life. I'm a bit of a foodie so this is not an understatement. My family and I had the pork loin with squash puree and the grilled chicken in gorgonzola sauce, aranccini, butter lettuce salad, and the vegan corn cream of the day. It was unbelievable, perfectly balanced flavors, and very generous portions. Emily was our server tonight and she is a delight! Thank you for making such a wonderful experience for us. Will return every time I'm in town!

Vegetarian options: Menu is very accommodating for vegan and vegetarian restrictions

HOLY SHMOLY!We were seeing a movie so I googled what was a close place for dinner and Mizuna popped up and let me tell you, I am SO glad it did.EVERYTHING we ate or drank was amazing. We started with the ginger and jalapeño crab cakes… guys, best crab cakes I have ever had!A mild mustard was with it and on its own I was like “eh” (I’m more of a tangy mustard person) but WITH the crab cake itself.. DECADENT!My boyfriend got the New York and ordered it medium rare… debated on rare because when you go to a restaurant they never cook them to a perfect medium rare BUT this was done PERFECTLY. It really was a beautiful steak.I got the seared scallops and risotto. UH-MAZING.I figured I’d get 3… you get 5! 5 delicious scallops on delicious risotto ?Our cocktails were amazing too..I think I am running out of adequate adjectives to describe this meal. It was so so so good!!!Now, it was pricey.. our meal was $200+ but we got an appetizer, 2 entrees and a few drinks each.BUT IT WAS SO WORTH IT!!!!!Oh, the service was amazing too. We loved our waitress. I don’t remember her name but she is blonde and bubbly. Very genuine!! Said she does art! So hopefully if you guys see this you know who I am talking about.

It’s been a minute since we have been to Mizuna I’m sorry to say. I am pleased to report that the quality has remained outstanding and my wife and I had another delightful experience at this Spokane gem of a restaurant. If you’ve been, let this be your reminder to hurry back? If you’ve NOT been. Look no farther? This place is terrific and you’ll be delighted that you went.

Vegetarian options: We like the vegetarian options just because the dishes are put together so well. Highly recommend the lettuce wrap app which has a delightful blend of mushrooms ROASTED hazelnuts tempe light peppers in what tastes like an Asian inspired light sauce…. Oh my!! Delightful.

Still amazing!

Vegetarian options: Two menus available each with an equal number of options. Their vegetarian meatloaf is superior to any meat version.
