We eat at the Palm Court grill a few times a year (usually for lunch and we have tried the high tea). We had reservations today during Christmas tree elegance. Despite making reservations a month in advance, we were seated in a booth near the bar, rather than in the fireside lounge. The seating options outside of the main palm court are disappointing and feel like a totally different atmosphere. The crab Louie was a much smaller serving than usual. We ordered a kids Mac and cheese...
We had a large group dine together with many liking their meal, but it was nothing very special. I enjoyed my salmon and asparagus that was perfectly cooked. Still felt like most of our meals you could find in town for significantly less money.
I went to Palm Court Grill for brunch recently and it was honestly disappointing! For how expensive the food was, I expected there to be more of it and was hoping for it to be seasoned. I paid 5$ for a pot of tea, which ended up just being a cheap and bitter teavana bag and boiling water. You’re essentially paying for the atmosphere here, so if that’s what you’re looking for, then this is a great choice. If you want a yummy breakfast/brunch, go somewhere else.
