What a cool whiskey bar! It's pretty easy to get to, not far from Riverfront Park. The cocktail l had was very good, refreshing and not too sweet. The BLTA had smokey, peppery bacon, fresh tomatoes and chunks of avocado. Fresh and simple, just what you want for pub food. The atmosphere skews country/Americana without being in your face about it. Bar and tabletops made from highly-polished slabs of wood. Soft roots-country covers of modern songs add to the ambiance without being distracting. The bartenders are friendly and it's fun to watch them expertly craft cocktails. Definitely a good place to spend an hour before going to a concert or a comedy show.

We had a great time at Purgatory last night.

Dan was our bartender and he was incredible. He’s a silly goose and always kept us on our toes. He makes great drinks and is a great time.

Bar has a really good vibe and a great selection.

We also ate some food there. We had the French dip as the pork belly tacos, both of which were great.

Food was amazing, staff was amazing, drinks were amazing!

In town for work and a few friends recommended this place. Awesome vibe and mind blowing how many whiskeys they have. We gave the bartender an idea of what we like and they put together flights of whiskeys that you usually don’t see. So good. Highly recommend.

Good food! The chefs special clearly had a lot of thought put into it, and isn't something I've had before.

Drinks range from mediocre to really interesting!
