Traveling through Spokane and stopped at RÜT. Sadly the first thing the waitress said, as she explained the menu, was that her two favorite items were sold out. Luckily there other items are great.
As you might have noticed from my title, I ordered the White Bean Queso Dip and immediately burned my tongue (a two-day burn) it was way hotter than you should ever serve any kind of food in a restaurant. I told the waitress but she didn't seem to comprehend. After it cooled down...
Loved the queso dip, jalepeno mushroom burger was awesome, mushrooms were super fresh and the jalepenos were nicely pickled. The sauce was like a cream cheese taste and it was really great. The bacon was very good and thick cut but not too thick. The truffle Mac was also good, and the not chicken cutlet was thick breaded and good texture.
Ordered salad, curry dish, and teriyaki bowl.
All the flavors were excellent. Good spice pairings, yummy sauces, all very fresh tasting.
Staff was somewhat robotic, not very kind. Maybe cause it was the end of the day?
Portion sizes were incredibly disappointing. Do not come hungry. I also paid $1.75 for HALF A SLICE OF BREAD?! Also $1.50 extra for what equated to basically a tablespoon of lentils.
