Red Dragon is our absolute favorite restaurant in all of Spokane! The food is delicious, reasonably priced, and has lots of options for all sorts of dietary preferences. The ambiance of the restaurant is beautiful as well, very cute, cozy, and gorgeously decorated. The staff and ownership are wonderful too! This is a team that has worked together happily for many years and it shows.
As our favorite spot, we have gotten take out and come in for dining room eating here for years. When we finally started planning our wedding we knew we needed to have our rehearsal dinner at Red Dragon! Will was very friendly and introduced us to Molly, our contact for the event. Molly is sunshine personified and made the planning process an absolute joy. She went above and beyond what we anticipated for coordinating the event and even brought her own creative ideas to the table. It was the lowest maintenance piece of the wedding planning process because she handled so much of it for us!
The night in question was a huge success. We had an absolute blast, the space was beautiful and just downright cool, the food was AMAZING, and Molly and Genevieve took care of our family and friends so wonderfully. So many of our guests have sung their praises even weeks after the evening!
Hillyard is so lucky to have Red Dragon! Thank you so much, Molly, Genevieve, and Will for making our rehearsal dinner so perfect and special!

Bathroom has paper towels, pull as many as you want. Excellent service. It's rare these days, but people notice!
Side note: food is great, I've had nothing but fantastic food/drink service.
Delicious food, clean place, good and fast service.

Wow we really wanted to love this place after it was recommended to us by family members. The atmosphere and service were good, but the food was horrifying. The dishes took a very long time to be served, longer than seemed normal.
My vegetables when served were ice cold and my honey walnut shrimp tasted overly bitter. Way *way over sauced with more sauce on the side, so that dish was ruined.
My husbands Kung Pao Beef was an unrecognizable mash of dark brown, and looked nothing like the other reviewers' photos.
It was also over sauced and the whole thing just a large mass of sauce to where you could barely make out what overcooked mushy limp vegetables were in there. The beef had an off taste to it and was extremely rubbery. I imagine that was the reason for the loads of sauce.
The rice was dried out and semi-crispy, as if it was just sitting out on a counter over night. It was also cold, but not as cold as my veggies which were like someone took them out of the fridge hours earlier then simply transferred them to a plate without warming them at all.
So for the Kung Pao dish, the only thing he ate was the side of pork and his soup. I was glad we had an appetizer so at least he got something.
I dont know what happened to our plates as the restaurant was packed full of people on a Saturday night who seemed happy. The other reviews are not an indicator of what we experienced at all.
No decent restaurant should ever miss this badly. I'm a bit worried about the safety of what we ate as well, it was that off, and likely not ever cooked to standard temp before arriving to our table.

Was looking for a Northside Chinese restaurant. The Red Dragon was, for us, just right. The service was great as well as the food. Had the pleasure to meet the owner and enjoyed hearing about the history of the restaurant.
Highly recommended.

Did take-out from Red Dragon for the first time tonight. We all had something different and it was all excellent. I like spicy and the kung pao chicken was outstanding! Will definitely be back

Restaurantji Recommends
Finally found a quality & authentic Chinese food restaurant in the Spokane Area after 12 years of living here. Well we're an hour north of Spokane. Food, service, and atmosphere was top notch. My wife and I had Kung Pow Beef & Lemon Chicken. Egg rolls, rice, egg drop soup & noodles were delicious. Will be back on our next trip into spokane.

The BBQ pork was so-so. Still better than several other places. Their almond chicken was the BEST!! I'll definitely be back!

Cute atmosphere in the north part of town. Fresh food steaming hot from the kitchen with the right type of plating adds wonders to the ambience. One of the better Chinese restaurants in town.
